Hey! How did your weekend go? I look forward to hearing your results so far in our 2020 Keto Challenge. I can’t wait to hear your update this week: the good, the bad, the frustrations or questions or struggles… let’s talk!
Are you Celebrating or Struggling?
I included a motivational graphic below that says: BE STRONGER THAN YOUR STRONGEST EXCUSE. I know that can be hard to do sometimes…
The voices in our head win over, old habits are hard to break, it’s easy to just go through the motions instead of FIGHTING for what you want… I get it.
I’m here for you though, and YOU ARE NOT ALONE, whatever you’re dealing with or going through. I’d love to start a series that helps you make SERIOUS lasting positive change in your life, so let me know what you find MOST challenging about reaching your weight loss goals and we’ll start there. 😉
If you’re in our private Facebook group, here’s the Week 5 Weigh In post to share your total pounds lost since you started (or your starting weight if you’re just joining us).
If you aren’t on Facebook (or prefer not to post on Facebook), simply leave a comment on this post with your results so far instead.
Yes, you can join in anytime! – so feel free to jump right in, and even invite your friends to do this WITH you. All of the “getting started” links are below – which are great for a REstart & fresh dose motivation too.
Most people share their “total pounds lost” since starting, but you can also share inches lost if you’re tracking body measurements.
I always LOVE to hear your non-scale victories (NSV’s) as well! ⭐️
2020 is YOUR year to reach your goals, and feel AMAZING! 💥

Lynn, I have been on Keto successfully for a year and a half. I got off track during the Thanksgiving holidays and can’t even be successful for one day trying to get back on the diet. I can’t believe this has happened because I worked so hard to get healthy. I know what I have to do, but it’s not working.
Thanks!
R

Hi Robbie,
When you say “it’s not working” what do you mean exactly? Do you mean you’re eating 20 net carbs max consistently and not losing weight, and if so – for how long? Happy to help if I can! π

I have been fat all my life. I have been on any and every diet you can begin to imagine. I finally had gastric bypass in 2004. I had a baby in 2008 and screwed up that weight loss too. I quit trying to lose weight. I don’t care if I ever lose or gain again! However, a co-worker is keto and my fibromyalgia is causing me a lot of issues. So, I tried it for that. I can say I move around a little better and I feel clearer. No, miraculous cures. No reasons to be On the news, but a small improvement is good in my book. I am still relatively new to it, I started black Friday, but I plan to hang in there and hope for even more improvement. I will let everyone know it does NOT prevent influenza B as I have been quite sick for over a week, but staying keto anyway!

Hi Kerry! π
It’s actually SMART to focus more on health and quality of life over weight loss, because the scales – and dieting in general – can just be downright frustrating, and ultimately drive you mad. :p
I was told I had fibromyalgia years ago because of my chronic muscle and nerve pain, but mine is more due to a back and head injury I imagine. At any rate, eating a ketogenic low carb diet DID result in miraculous improvement for me!
I noticed more mobility and less pain early on, but I’d had good spells before so didn’t think that much of it. But as time passed, I got out of chronic pain completely – and am now hiking, rock climbing, dancing, and doing ALL sorts of things I never thought I would be able to do again!
It’s definitely worth it, for that alone. π
