This amazingly delicious Low Carb Banana Bread is another variation of my keto nut butter recipes. It’s the same base recipe I use for my Keto Blueberry Muffins for example, but this time made into a beautiful loaf with rich banana flavor and cut into thick nutty slices you’ll LOVE!
🥜 The “magic ingredient” to my Keto Banana Bread Recipe is nut butter.
I love working with the Legendary Foods Flavored Nut Butters because they’re already deliciously flavored and super low carb.
Their variety of nut butter flavors makes for FUN creative keto baking!
For this recipe I used the Legendary Foods NEW! Chocolate Banana Nut Butter to make delicious banana nut muffins, and a keto friendly banana nut bread. 🍌🍫🥜
I’ll share both variations of the recipe with you in this post…
Legendary Food’s Chocolate Banana Nut Butter is made with a blend of creamy peanut butter, pieces of ripened banana and delicious chocolate, without all the added sugar! It’s only 2 net carbs per TBSP or 3 net carbs per squeeze pack.
🍌 Keto Banana Bread Recipe
I doubled my usual recipe to make the banana bread loaf, but you can halve this recipe to make a normal sized batch of banana nut muffins – or just make more muffins, because honestly you can’t have too many of them on hand to enjoy. 😉
As is, with the ingredients and amounts below, made into a banana bread loaf and cut into 10 thick/large slices, it comes to:
10 servings
328 calories per slice
28 grams of fat per slice
12 grams of protein per slice
4.8 net carbs per slice
You could halve this recipe and make a smaller loaf with half the calories/carbs per slice. Or you could cut it into 20 thinner slices to make each slice half the carbs (2.4 each), but I wanted mine to be thick “traditional banana bread” sized slices.
Add a TBSP of real butter to this warm low carb banana bread and you have a delicious and filling meal for under 5 net carbs. 😉
(yes, there’s a slice missing here – it’s on my plate! lol)
📝 Ingredients:
- 1 cup Legendary Foods Chocolate Banana Nut Butter, room temperature
- 8 Large Eggs
- 4 TBSP Melted Butter or Coconut Oil
- 1/2 Cup Almond Flour
- 1/4 Cup Sweetener *
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 4 tsp Banana Extract
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 70 grams Crushed Walnuts

You’ll need a loaf-sized silicone mold, or you’ll want to grease a bread pan liberally. I haven’t tried other pans like a glass dish or metal baking pan, so you may find you have to adjust the baking times if you don’t use the same size silicone mold I used – or if you halve the recipe. You could also use a silicone muffin mold and make muffins. I made those too so I’ll share those pictures with you as well.
I found this silicone mold PERFECT for this exact recipe, as it is above, and the entire loaf pops right out with no sticking!
You’ll want a sharp bread knife. I had one in this pretty knife set I got on Amazon. I love how the handles are shaped for easy handling, and how colorful it is! 🙂
This beautiful knife set makes a GREAT gift, btw!;)
📌 Notes & Options
You want to use organic unrefined coconut oil. No bleach or chemicals are used to “refine” the oil so it retains the natural compounds & nutrients. It’s also made from fresh coconut, where refined oil is not.
* On the 1/4 Cup Sweetener ingredient – I used 6 TBSP of Swerve, Brown Sugar Replacement and it turned out JUST RIGHT. 😍
If you use a different sweetener, use the equivalent to 1/4 cup of sugar, or sweeten to taste.
I usually use Granular Swerve as the sweetener because it measures the same as sugar and leaves NO aftertaste in my low carb recipes. I’m liking the Swerve Brown MUCH better though. 😉
Cooking Directions:
It helps if your eggs are not TOO cold, to prevent the melted butter or oil from clumping on you. You definitely want your nut butter to be room temperature too.
I usually whisk my eggs first and set them aside on the counter while preparing everything else.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Stir together the first three ingredients (eggs, nut butter & oil/butter) until smooth. Add the other ingredients. I fold the crushed walnuts or walnut pieces in at the end.
Mix well. I find it easy enough to mix the ingredients by hand with a large spoon, without using a hand mixer.
Place your silicone loaf mold on a baking sheet, and pour the batter into the mold.
⏱ Bake at 325 degrees 50-60 minutes until golden brown.
Depending on your oven, the dish you use and the size of loaf, cooking time may vary. You’ll know it’s done when it’s golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
* If you’re making muffins, dip out 1/3 cup of batter for each muffin and bake at 350 degrees for 15-22 minutes. They are done when a toothpick comes out clean.
I got this silicone baking set and also this silicone loaf pan on Amazon and totally FELL IN LOVE with them! These were such a GREAT find. ♥
I will NEVER bake with muffin papers or glass/metal baking dishes again. 😛
Without even greasing or spraying it, the loaf popped right out SO easy and so clean!
It was still warm when I popped it out of the silicone loaf mold and still didn’t fall apart. 🙂
I did let it cool for probably 20-30 minutes first though… but then it was PERFECT to top with butter and enjoy a slice straight out of the oven!
This Low Carb Banana Walnut Bread Turned Out Beautiful & Delicious!
I’ve made this recipe three times already!
I use the Free MyFitnessPal Recipe Calculator to enter in my ingredients based on my own labels and the amounts I use, and the number of servings I make it into, which makes logging your portions super easy.
Like I said, you can halve this recipe or cut yours into 20 thinner slices instead of 10 thick slices, or you can use this recipe (whole or half) to make muffins instead – so you’ll want to enter it yourself based on how you decide to make it.
This exact same recipe makes AMAZING waffles & pancakes too. 😉
For muffins, pancakes & waffles I halve the recipe I gave you above. You would leave out the Banana Extract & walnuts too when working with different flavors. For the blueberry muffins & pancakes, I also add 35 grams of diced frozen blueberries.
YES, this was all made with nut butter! 🙂
Legendary Foods Flavored Nut Butters
I don’t personally know any other nut butter that has the flavor and texture of Legendary Foods, and tastes THIS amazing straight out of the jar off a spoon!
If you use a plain nut butter you’ll want to add ingredients or something to flavor and/or sweeten your nut butter recipes, which will of course increase the carb count.
Not only are Legendary Foods nut butters SUPER RICH, they are VERY low carb.;)
Their nut butters are made with real ingredients too, such as pieces of real ripened bananas in the Chocolate Banana Nut Butter, real apple bits in the Apple Pie Almond Butter and real blueberries in the Blueberry Cinnamon Bun nut butter.
They’re all keto friendly too!
I have tested both the nut butters and all of these recipes with my blood glucose & ketone testing meter – and always get great results. ☑️
I cannot get over how GREAT this Keto Banana Bread Turned Out!
This is a great recipe for meal prep, whether you make a loaf or make it into muffins. I turned the muffins into a dessert one night too, so I’ll show you those.
But this makes for such a delicious breakfast! Especially a nice warm slice topped with butter and fresh strawberries. 🍌🍓😍
And of course it’s even BETTER topped with the Chocolate Banana Nut Butter that it was made with. 😉
Keto Banana Nut Muffins Recipe
I used this exact same recipe (halved) to make banana walnut muffins, which turned out just as delicious!
I sprinkled the tops with a pinch of granular Swerve sweetener:
Pro Tip: Mix a teaspoon or two of cinnamon with an equal amount of Granular Swerve and sprinkle over the top of your loaf or muffins the last 2-3 minutes of baking for a nice sweet topping!
The muffins are great for meal prep so you have something delicious, filling & super low carb to grab and enjoy on busy mornings.
I like to warm them up and add a pat of butter. 🙂
One night though, I was craving chocolate covered cake donuts. 🙄
So I got a brilliant idea!
I mixed a TBSP of sugar free chocolate chips with a TBSP of butter and just melted those together for 10 seconds at a time until smooth & creamy… and topped my banana nut muffins with that for a DELICIOUS dessert.
KETOLICIOUS! 😍

Thanks to Legendary Foods, we FINALLY have a GOOD low carb replacement for banana nut bread – that’s just as good as the real thing!

It’s such a FUN and versatile recipe to mix things up in your keto meal rotation. 🙂

The Chocolate Banana nut butter is great by itself too. I’m loving their new squeeze packs, especially for on-the-go or when I’m out hiking. Aaron loves this flavor on sugar free chocolate bars. He’s big on his after-dinner desserts, lol.
Have you tried this Legendary flavor yet?

I’m asking the same thing about printing. It would be great to not only be able to print your recipes but also your suggestions that you make in an article, but not all the pictures. Love your recipes and info but printing is a nightmare.
