I know how discouraging it can be when the scales aren’t moving, or when you’re not seeing progress as quickly as you would like – or think you should.
I’ve been reading stories about exactly that all over the web lately, so I popped on and shared some tips & ideas in this video for you. 🙂

Using MCT Oil for Weight Loss & Fat Burning
Not Losing Weight? Check These 4 Points…
The MCT Oil is working great for me. It increases your metabolism, increases your ketone levels, promotes fat burning and weight loss, and it’s a GREAT appetite suppressant.
When I compared over 50 brands for quality and value, Kiss My Keto had the best price on a pure / high quality oil. My discount code is LOWCARBTRAVELER… But I don’t buy anything else there. I don’t like their bars at all. 😜
I’m using Perfect Keto MCT C8/C10 Oil, also great quality and price. My discount code is LOWCARBTRAVELER there too, and I order their bars & nut butter and also use their unflavored collagen.

Thanks for sharing your journey with the public. I am about two months into my foodstyle changes, and my mind is playing tricks on me. After 50 years of mostly bad eating of course my psyche is resistant. I plan to put some uplifting notes in my phone calendar and use some of your tips. One thing is clear – I am not going back.

Congrats on making positive lifestyle changes and taking control of your goals, Arnette! I found the mental stuff was the most challenging.
Like I said in the video, the weight loss is actually the easy part. Your body WILL follow suit if you just wake up every day and eat/live healthy. π
I love your resolve. That’s a great attitude!! *cheers*

Hi Lynn,
I ordered all 3 kinds of the granola to try it. I have never had them before & wanted to see what each one tastes like. I’m not a big cereal person but I crave the sweet salty crunch so maybe I will like them. I do like the unsweetened vanilla almond milk & I also use the nutpods almond milk creamer so maybe I will use these with my granola. At 10 bucks a bag I couldn’t pass up trying them all….
Thanks!

You’ll love them, Jill. π The granola is great! It’s not salty, but more like fresh baked cookies straight out of the oven. Delicious! And it definitely makes great cereal. I love that it doesn’t get soggy in milk.
When I want sweet & salty I’ll add salted macadamia nuts with the granola for a nice snack. Or I made the fat bombs recently with the granola & sea salt – that was amazing!! Did you see those? If not, I shared the recipe here: https://www.travelinglowcarb.com/24800/mct-oil-candy-keto-fat-bombs/

Hi Lynn, thanks for the reminders in this video! I have a question about Keto Energy. I used to take Spark once a day in my water, which I absolutely loved. Spark tasted good, made me drink more water, and gave me a boost for my evening shift. I was looking at the Keto Energy to replace the Spark ( high carbs) to do the same thing plus replenish my electrolytes ( I have been getting a bit dizzy lately). What do you think of this supplement from Ketologic? It has 510mg sodium.
Thanks,
Janet
Lynn Terry says
Hi Janet,
The dizzy spells – any idea why you are getting those? One possible culprit is drinking too much water, which flushes out your sodium & electrolytes – a common mistake with all the myths going around with how much water you should drink! If you’re urine is clear, you should drink less – that’s the general rule. You want it to be pale yellow.
I’m not familiar with Spark, but the Keto Energy is exogenous ketones. While I absolutely love the Ketologic company and the people behind it, and have used their MCT Oil, I don’t recommend it because of the cost.
As for the Keto Energy, or ANY exogenous ketones, I don’t recommend that at all. I’m working on a detailed post to explain how it does NOT work and the potential dangers behind it, but long story short:
Exogenous ketones do not put or keep you in nutritional ketosis. There is no evidence your body actually USES those ketones, which means it just makes for expensive pee. π I think they’re probably slightly addictive, like the popular energy drinks.
I would look more at why you’re getting dizzy and fix that, rather than use a product. I’m using the MCT Oil (a less expensive one of the same quality) which DOES force your body to produce and use it’s own ketones, and also gives you a natural energy & metabolism boost.
One of my biggest concerns with exogenous ketone products is the amount of sodium in them actually. Which is fine IF you are IN ketosis. But they are marketed as a “solution” after a cheat meal or if you knock yourself out of ketosis. It’s like they’re encouraging bad eating. π
Anyway, as we all know, mixing that amount of sodium WITH carbs and sugar is a really BAD idea. Sodium is great on keto / in ketosis. It’s not great in combination with high fat and high carb and/or sugar.
If you are staying in nutritional ketosis consistently that product probably won’t hurt you (although there are no clinical studies yet on long term side effects) – but it’s simply an expensive and unnecessary product in my opinion.
