MyFitnessPal Logs: 3 Days With No Eggs! :)

Keto SnacksIn my last post: No More Eggs Please! 🙄 (lol) we were discussing other easy low carb breakfast ideas – besides eggs.

After that, I went three full days with NO eggs.

Shocking, I know. πŸ˜‰

After that I was happy to have my favorite cheesy eggs again (yesterday) but it was a nice break from what had turned into a daily routine. Better known as a RUT, lol.

Below are my last three MyFitnessPal food logs, and a photo tour of my low carb meals each day, which you can see are ideal LCHF / Keto macros on all three days…

First though, I’m co-hosting a $100 Visa Gift Card Giveaway with Ebates, so be sure to enter! It’s perfect timing because who wouldn’t love an extra $100 this time of year – right? Plus Ebates is such a great way to get cashback on all your holiday shopping. πŸ˜‰

Traveling Low Carb’s $100 Visa Gift Card Giveaway

This is an older post but it tells you all about Ebates and why I love it, and also how I use it.

I haven’t updated that post lately, but I’m now up to almost $2,000 earned with Ebates!

Watch for my next post & email about the Year-End Low Carb Challenge and a FUN new series of LIVE Low Carb Classes too.

I’ll get that over to you ASAP so we can kick it off, because I really look forward to us all closing out this year together feeling and looking our absolute best! πŸ™‚

Monday’s Low Carb Meals

My breakfast on Monday was totally ridiculous. 😍

It’s two peanut butter NUI keto cookies crumbled up on the bottom and topped with cream cheese, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Almond Butter and 4 perfectly ripe strawberries, all drizzled with Macadamia Sea Salt Nut Butter.

Keto Fat Bomb Desserts

That was like dessert-breakfast. πŸ™‚

Monday is a super long and always full work day for me, and that breakfast held me over for awhile, but for a quick late lunch I just made 3 Oscar Mayer Smokies and drizzled them with a little mustard.

Easy Low Carb Lunches

For dinner I cooked two hamburger patties and dipped them in Duke’s Mayo.

It was at least 7 ounces or almost half a pound of hamburger, seasoned with garlic powder and a little minced onion & salt.

Here’s how I logged those meals in MyFitnessPal:

Tuesday’s Low Carb Meals

For breakfast on Tuesday morning I had a Chocolate Keto Shake, but I mixed it with hot coffee instead of water to make it an easy “coffee breakfast” on the go. πŸ™‚

Morning Keto Shake - LCHF Breakfast on the go

Those shakes are so filling. Such an easy way to start the day AND get your collagen and healthy fats in. πŸ˜‰

I had a couple of snacks at my desk to power through the work day: Peanut Butter NUI Cookies (I’m hooked on those again!) and a Macadamia Pecan Fat Bomb.

Keto Snacks for Work

As a late lunch or early dinner, mid afternoon if I remember right, I got hungry and found this Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Atkins frozen dinner in my freezer – and added Turmeric Black Pepper Pili Nuts to it. That added a nice crunch and a lot of flavor! πŸ˜‰

Pili Nuts jazz up ANY meal. πŸ˜‰

I had two more hamburger patties in the 4-pack I bought, and I was up way later than I meant to be, so I fried those up when I got hungry again.

Wednesday’s Low Carb Meals

I really like the “breakfast keto coffee shake” thing for breakfast! I had that again on Wednesday morning, with a Vanilla shake mixed with coffee this time.

Someone asked me which was my favorite, the chocolate or vanilla keto shakes. Honestly I can’t decide, so I just go back and forth between them. πŸ™‚

Keto Breakfast Shakes

I also had almost an ounce of cheese I sliced off the block when I felt snacky later, which you’ll see in my food diary below.

I didn’t eat again until around 3pm, which was perfect timing to take advantage of the 3-6pm daily deals at Logan’s Roadhouse. πŸ™‚

Logan's Roadhouse Deals

I get the Wood Grilled Chicken with Parmesan Peppercorn Dressing and added cheddar & bacon, plus steamed broccoli & a side caesar salad (no croutons) -OR- the Chopped Steak (mushrooms only for me) & 2 sides.

Great value for $8.99 and they have good low carb sides: mushroom skewers, vegetable skewers, steamed broccoli, side salads, grilled asparagus etc. ❤

Logan's Roadhouse Keto Friendly Sides

I started with the side caesar (no croutons) and *almost* filled up on the salad alone!

I had the 10oz Chopped Steak with no gravy. I did get the onions on it this time, but I don’t eat them – I scrape them off. I don’t like the texture of onions lol, but I love the flavor!

Logan's Roadhouse Chopped Steak

UPDATE: The Onions Brewski Style Topper (the onions on top of the chopped steak) are 38 carbs. I’m glad I scraped them off! πŸ˜› *whew* Thought I better let you know in case you ordered it with intentions of eating the onions. πŸ˜‰ Eek!

That’s why it pays to look things up online or on your mobile when dining out. πŸ˜‰

I ate about half the chopped steak, mushrooms & broccoli (plus the whole salad) and brought the other half of the meal home and finished that for dinner later in the evening.

Here’s how I logged those meals in MyFitnessPal:

You’ll notice HWC (Heavy Whipping Cream) in my last food diary above. I stopped at Starbucks after dinner for a large iced coffee. They use about half a cup of HWC unless you specify less, but I only drank half the drink – and put the rest in the refrigerator to enjoy the next morning.

All HWC is 0.4 carbs per TBSP – yes, even if the label SAYS zero carbs. There are 16 TBSP in a cup, so half a cup of HWC would be 8 TBSP which comes to 3.2 carbs (8 x 0.4). A full cup of HWC is 6.4 carbs. Good to know for recipes, etc. πŸ˜‰

Here’s how I have my MFP set up to track net carbs like you see in my food diaries above:

How To Set Up MyFitnessPal To Track Net Carbs

Yesterday I enjoyed my cheesy eggs again like I said, then I was invited over for dinner at a friend’s house – where I was treated to the most FABULOUS low carb meal I’ve had in ages! I’ll show it to you in my next food diary…

    Hi,

I appreciate your diary updates. It gives hope that one can lead a ‘normal’ life and still keep to a dietary lifestyle.

I really admire your discipline to keep your myfitnesspal log up-to-date.

    Cheers!

    • Lynn Terry says:

Thank you Herb, and YES! It’s definitely easy to sustain long term, as a lifestyle. I’ve been low carb (keto) for 7 1/2 years now – and fully intend to stay that way. πŸ˜‰

  2. Jane says:

To me, it looks like the Nui cookies are not updating correctly in your log. The fiber count has not been deducted from total.

Thanks for sharing your logs and your ideas. I am bad about getting stuck in a rut and your ideas are a huge help.

    • Lynn Terry says:

That happens sometimes when I enter new foods – but the totals at the bottom are always correct at least, just not on the actual entry line. Go figure. πŸ˜‰

There are SO many great low carb foods to enjoy, but for some reason it’s easy to just get in the habit of eating/making the same things over and over. I’ve been looking back through old food diaries here for ideas, lol – something different is always good!

  3. Robert Acosta says:

I look forward to getting your e-mails. They are fun, informative and well done. I have a few snacks I would like to refer you to in case you have not had them. You have not mentioned them in your e-mails. They are all terrific. The first is Dang Keto Bars. There are three different ones and are just great. The next is Curly Girlz Candy. They have a whole variety and all fit into the Keto lifestyle. They are OMG. The next one is the new IQ Bars, Blueberry, Lemon and Sunflower. Another winner.
The 4th one I am really looking forward to is Perfect Keto is coming out with what they say
will be the best Keto Bars on the market very soon. Soon I will be receiving a free bar to taste and evaluate. Everything Perfect Keto does is A+
Regards, Keep up the good work

    • Lynn Terry says:

Thank you Robert. πŸ™‚ I love the Curly Girlz candies! Those are always delicious. I’ve just started trying some of the Perfect Keto stuff, and have some of the new Dang bars here to try. I’ll check out IQ too – thank you! πŸ™‚

  4. Patricia says:

I agree with you one hundred percent – I can’t decide either which is my favorite with the Ketologie shakes. I know that I will never ever be without them. There are so many uses and I never use two full scoops so they last longer. Right now I’m using the chocolate as hot chocolate at night. As well as right now while I’m sick.

    • Lynn Terry says:

I hope you feel better soon, Trish! Our weather here did a major shift and I haven’t been feeling 100% myself – so the hot shakes are a great start in the morning when I don’t feel like having anything else. They’re so creamy & delicious! πŸ™‚

  5. Lisa says:

I have enjoyed reading your blog and keep up with you. I have started back on low carb this week and really trying .

  7. Mary says:

I am fairly new to Keto lifestyle and I am so grateful I came across your blog. I am still learning how much of this and that to eat. I’m still afraid to eat fat and maybe that’s wo I reached a stall. I’ve lost 35 lbs and would love to loose 10 more.
Thank you for being so open on your blog and also for posting your daily food intake.
    Mary

  8. Lisa White says:

What brand of hamburger patties do you use? Thanks for all the good ideas as always. I just used your discount code for Nui cookies and am looking at your other posts deciding on what else I might try.

  9. Carmen VanVliet says:

TERRY -Why are your macros daily goals set to 30% for fat on the charts above? I thought it was 75% fat, 25% protein and 5% carbs. What am I missing?s

  10. Carmen VanVliet says:

    I meant 20% protein – sorry

    • Lynn Terry says:

LOL Carmen – I get called Terry all the time, no worries. The curse of having two first names! πŸ˜‰ haha

My MyFitnessPal “goals” seem to change on me for some reason, so I just ignore those and stick to my actual/real goals: 20 net carbs max and 70% fat minimum (25% protein max). You’ll see my actual macros ARE on point, it’s just the MFP goals won’t stay put for some reason so I just ignore those. πŸ˜‰

      • Lynn Terry says:

p.s. Good catch! I’m so used to ignoring it, I didn’t think how it might look in the screenshot -lol. I’ll see if I can fix it and get it to stick…

        • Carmen VanVliet says:

Thanks for responding, Lynn. I went back on a couple of your older pages and saw that your MFP goals for fat were 70%, protein 25%, so I figured it must be a glitch – but it had me worried for a bit as that was all I looked at, not the chart! Thanks again!
