Here is my Low Carb Food Diary for Day 67 of the โGet Lean For Summer!โ 90 Day Low Carb Challenge. Itโs NEVER too late to join if you havenโt already!
This has been an AMAZING challenge for me so far. I hope things are going well for you too! ๐
Iโm consistently staying below 150 pounds, my legs are really toning up, and I feel leaner & stronger than ever.
I still have A LOT of work to do though, mainly on my core and upper body โ well, in plenty of spots actually. ๐ I feel good, and I even feel like I look good in my clothes. Which is SO nice to say and FEEL for a changeโฆ
But I took some (gross, lol) โbikini picsโ yesterday as before picturesโฆ because I plan on making a shockingly cool transformation to my body this summer. ๐
Iโll share those with you soon, along with what Iโm going to be working on โ because I have some new (seriously ambitious!) goals for the next few months.
My scales finally moved back down, so Iโm 146 pounds this morning โ again, lol. Thatโs what I weighed last Wednesday before my scales started โdancingโ. Iโve lost 8.6 pounds since the challenge began.
Day 67: Thursdayโs Low Carb Meals
I woke up out of pecans! I decided to use my leftover sausage and just make a quick one-skillet scramble with that plus 4 eggs and 1.73 ounces of colby jack cheese.
It was delicious, and was easily two full meals โ but I spread it out into three smaller meals.
Last night I had a low carb grilled chicken club from Hardeeโs on the tailgate at the park. Delicious, messy! lol, and 7 net carbs.
I also had a Slim Jim thing sometime in the afternoonโฆ
Hereโs My MyFitnessPal Diary for Thursday:
Tracking Macronutrients (Simple Explanation of Macros)
How To Get Net Carbs in MyFitnessPal
Calories: 1601
Net Carbs: 17
Total Carbs: 18
Protein: 106 Grams
75% Fat, 22% Protein
Exercise: None (Recovery Day)
FitBit Steps: 2,656
Water: 24 ounces
Hereโs a photo of me enjoying my low carb sandwich on the tailgate at the park last night. My legs are really shaping up nicely! Minus a little dimply fat there the side of my upper thighs, lol. Minor stuff considering how far Iโve come, and how hard Iโm working on toning right now. And the fact that I just turned 43 this week. ๐
ย
I felt GOOD while taking the progress pictures yesterday. They are gross (nekkid bodies arenโt really that sexy, lol) but they INSPIRED me and let me know exactly what I need to work onโฆ
I canโt wait to see what it FEELS like to be lean and strong! Meaning: in amazing shape and top physical condition. I can imagine it in my mind, and that image is what fuels me day after day. ๐
Itโs easy to look in the mirror (or at pictures) and just feel disappointed and disgusted. Iโve done that for way too many years now. This challenge (even just losing 8-9 pounds) has encouraged me to accept myself as I am, where I am.
The pictures WERE hard to look at. I donโt SEE much difference between those and the pictures from almost 30 pounds ago. But I know I canโt even wear the other swimsuit anymore (it hangs off of me!). And I DID feel good just knowing how far Iโve come, how much progress Iโve made, how hard Iโm working at this, and also because I know exactly where Iโm going with it all โ which is what really EXCITES me.
I think itโs the commitment and resolve that has improved my confidence so dramatically. Just DOING IT, and knowing I CAN DO THISโฆ has totally changed the way I feel about myself. (And the way I feel about food.)
Iโve only lost 8.6 pounds, but I feel like Iโve dropped TONS of mental baggage in the last 67 days!
How are things going on your end??
I look forward to your comments & questions!
Best,

Lynn, your daily logs and the progress you have made are such a great motivation for me. Thanks for keeping us up with what you are doing to reach your goals. Iโm following your lead and trying to do everything that you do to meet my new goals.
I still have a good way to go, but itโs such a big help to follow your guidelines. And thanks for the hack for keeping track of micro nutrients on My Fitness Pal site. This is really a GREAT help.
Keep up the good work, you are quite an inspiration!
Thank you, Vicki ๐
Iโm REALLY excited about my summer goals, and how HARD Iโm going to be challenging myself!! I still have a good way to go too. When I share my โbikini picsโโฆ I think everyone will be shocked at whatโs underneath my (smaller) clothes right now. ๐ haha Ugh!
The MyFitnessPal hack is awesome โ so glad you got that set up. Itโs easy and such a BIG help! *cheers*
I think you look great Lynn โ and I truly enjoy seeing what you are eating. Curious โ do you feel like youโre eating fewer veggies these days? Does that affect how you feel? Iโm doing great โ have lost about 5 lbs. this week โ and for me (turning 60 this month โ yikes) thatโs incredible. Trying to keep carbs/cals down โ cals are harder because low carb is intrinsically higher calorie because of the fat. But Iโm trying! I need to walk/exercise more than I am โ Iโve been lazy this week. You are an inspiration and I love knowing what others are eating and being successful with!
Happy Birthday week, DJ! ๐
I eat fewer veggies when I am home because I tend to eat super simple foods I can just grab real quick. When I eat out I always get plenty of veggies โ like the broccoli & cucumber salad in Monteagle on Wednesday, my meals at the beach last weekend, etc.
But no, I feel great. ๐ I eat plenty of berries at home which are also good fiber and nutrients. And sometimes I actually cook, lol.
hey Lynn I got the chicken club today and they told me it has 11 net carbs I then went to the web site and also says 11 net carbs how did you get 7 ?? thanks Sandi
Hi Sandi ๐ Itโs wrong on their website!! See: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/6291/hardees-low-carb-chicken-club/ ๐ Use the entry I did on my MyFitnessPal food diary aboveโฆ
