THIS came out of MY kitchen! ๐
When I saw this recipe I was sitting at my computer munching on raw pecans (as usual) and thought: no way you can make a pecan pie that beautiful LOW CARB, that actually tastes like REAL pecan pie.
I looked over the list of ingredients and โ go figure:
I had everything on hand to make one!
No weird ingredients, and only one that I had to swap out for something else.
And it came out RICH, beautiful and delicious!
ย
It all started with this Keto Pecan Pie Recipe Video on Instagram:

I started working with Legendary Foods after getting some of their amazing products in my monthly keto boxes. Thatโs how I scored you a discount code! Theyโve been FUN to work with as an affiliate and theyโve even sponsored some of my work here including this post, the Creative Nut Butter Recipes and the Low Carb Waffles Recipe that I also use to make delicious keto muffins & pancakes.
Just LOOK at this beautiful flaky crust! ๐
I canโt stop raving over the crust. Iโm not a huge fan of working with coconut flour, but this was AMAZING โ so tender and flaky, yet held together perfectly!
Aaron prefers the almond meal style crust, more like shortbread, that weโve made before. But this low carb pie crust was just as easy to make, and I liked it WAY better!
THIS was my โlow carb breakfastโ this morning. ๐
That is one BEAUTIFUL slice of low carb pecan pie, donโt you agree?!
ย
The Ingredients: My Delicious Recipe Modifications
I found the original recipe detailed out on the Legendary Foods blog here: Legendary Foods Keto Pecan Pie. I only swapped out two of the ingredients on their list: the erythritol and the sugar free maple syrup.
I donโt care for straight erythritol. It leaves a cooling/tingling effect and an aftertaste in my mouth. So in place of the erythritol I used Sweet Like Sugar by Ketologie. I also like to bake with Swerve sweetener.
I didnโt have sugar free maple syrup. I did however have sugar free ChocZero Maple Pecan Syrup โ which was a perfect substitution! ๐
And of course the main star of this recipe is the amazingly delicious and super popular Pecan Pie Almond Butter by Legendary Foods.
I put all of my ingredients & amounts (based on the labels on the brands I used) into the MyFitnessPal recipe calculator, and cut my pie into 8 decent sized slices.
It came out to 6 net carbs per decadently rich slice โ and worth every carb!
The original recipe came out to 3 net carbs per slice, but they cut it into 10 smaller pieces instead of eight. I also counted the eggs at .4 carbs each, and different brands of coconut flour may vary in macros.
The hardest part about this recipe was waiting for it to cool before cutting into it to try a bite! ๐
It was definitely a bit more gooey in the middle while it was still warmโฆ
But who could resist?! ๐
It was even better the next day, once it set up nicely overnight. ๐
Iโve had SO much fun with the Legeandary Foods flavored nut butters over the last few months, but this recipe was by far the BEST.
Aaron called it โaddictive.โ Which was a high compliment considering pecan pie is his FAVORITE dessert, and one heโll admittedly risk a โcarb crashโ over.
Heโs been looking for a low carb / sugar free pecan pie recipe for months nowโฆ and he was over-the-top impressed with this one. ๐
In his words: Itโs like eating the real thing, without the immediate sick feeling you get after the first two bites of โthe real thing.โ
A keto friendly low carb pecan pie is a dream come true!
This recipe really surprised meโฆ
I always hesitate to try out fancy new keto recipes because I hate to waste expensive ingredients on something that might be a total flop โ or completely inedible.
Fortunately, this recipe turned out to be a winner. ๐
Iโm limiting myself to one slice a day. I had one last night after it cooled, and my second slice for breakfast this morning.
Weโre down to two slices now (Aaron has had 3 today already, lol) and I just had to order some more sweetener because heโs already anxious to bake another one! ๐
Itโs THAT good.

Why is the recipe not shown.. The video does not give amounts.
The keto pecan pie recipe is here: https://www.legendaryfoodsonline.com/blogs/recipes/keto-pecan-pie-recipe?aff=39 Itโs not my recipe so I couldnโt copy it, but I did link to it in the post and show how mine turned out. ๐ Itโs a GREAT recipe for low carb pecan pie!!
Oh, I canโt wait to try this!
Thank you for sharing everything, whether itโs good or bad.
Youโre welcome, Denise! Youโre going to LOVE this recipe. Aaron and I were both so impressed with itโฆ weโre already planning to make another one. ๐ PERFECT!
Hi Terry! I really enjoy reading your blog. Thanks for sharing your recipes and KETO eating experiences. Iโve been on the Keto lifestyle for 20 months and have lost 31 pounds. Iโm not losing anymore, but Iโm really happy with my weight, which is a tad lower than when I got married 27 years ago! But the best news is that I no longer suffer pain in my toes due to inflammation, and I feel great! I will never go back to eating sugar in any of its forms. Thanks for the discount code โ I used it to order the 5-pack of the nut butters.

Thank you Margaret โ and youโre most welcome. Youโll LOVE all of the nut butters! They make great candy/fudge, muffins, pancakes & waffles, and of course now: pie. ๐ Iโve tested all of those recipes and all of the Legendary Foods products, and they donโt knock me out of ketosis โ plus theyโre DELICIOUS!
Congrats on your weight loss!! Kudos for taking control of your health and making such a positive change. Iโm like you โ being leaner is great, but being out of chronic pain is the BEST benefit. I feel great tooโฆ itโs definitely the best thing Iโve ever done for myself. ๐ *cheers*
Hi Lynn โ Iโm looking forward to making this recipe but I just want to clarify. The swaps you made, were they for the same amounts?
Yes, Betsy โ I was about 1/8 cup short on sweetener (almost out! lol) but it still worked out just fine, because the ChocZero syrup is really sweet anyway. But yes, the same amounts of sweetener & syrup. ๐
I had to hop online and order some more sweetener because Aaron is already anxious to bake another one. Itโs THAT good. Enjoy!!
I have the ChocZero syrup but will need to order the sweetener.
I used what I had left of the Sweet Like Sugar, but I just ordered another bag of Swerve on Amazon for 8.88 here: https://amzn.to/2JcsB3Z (beware the higher priced listings, that was the listing I ordered from).
Iโm not sure if they carry Swerve at places like Kroger or Wal-Mart, and I have Amazon Prime so I just ordered a bag real quick vs running all over the place. ๐ It should be here today โ yay!
This looks amazing. I prefer almond meal most the time because I seem to have more success with it however when a coconut flour recipe turns out perfectly it normally knocks my socks off. I canโt wait to make this. Iโm already thinking thanksgiving!!! I wonder if you can replace the flavor of nut butter for a different type of pie. I canโt wait to try this!
I was actually just thinking about that last nightโฆ because that crust was SO good. They have a brownie recipe I want to try next, and I was thinking I could maybe make a chocolate chip brownie type pie โ in that crust. Maybe that will work. ๐ It sounds good anyway!
Iโm with you, almond meal is so easy to work with. Aaron actually prefers the almond meal crust we used in the low carb cheesecake recipe here: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/19279/low-carb-food-ideas/ (itโs about halfway down the post). He wants to make the pecan pie again with that crust instead.
I loved the coconut flour crust though, and now I have a good way to use up that big bag of coconut flour I was wondering what I would ever do with. ๐ ๐
Hi Lynn! Iโm planning on making this for Thanksgiving and was just wondering โฆ does the coconut flour crust taste coconut-ty? Iโm not a fan of coconut, but if the flavor is hidden, I can cope! lol Thanks!
Hi Stephanie ๐ No, I couldnโt taste any coconut at all. It was DELICIOUS!!
