If you miss bread on your low carb diet… you’ll love this! 🙂
Last month we had some GREAT discussions about this Low Carb Bread on my Facebook page and in my Facebook group, so I wanted to share with you what other low carbers said about it – in addition to what I LOVE about it.
It’s the Low Carb Everything Bread which I order from Netrition, and it makes a GREAT low carb grilled cheese sandwich. 🙂
It’s delicious 🙂 The key: PLENTY of real butter!
It’s great timing too, because I’m about to try & review their Low Carb Pasta. I already know how much I liked the Low Carb Fettucine with the Organic Marinara:
… so this week I’m going to try the Low Carb Penne and Rotini Pastas – in both hot and cold low carb pasta dishes. 🙂 I’m also going to try/review the Organic Low Carb Tomato Basil Sauce this time. Although I’m nervous about that – because the Organic Marinara has been my favorite. It totally rocked my socks!!:)
Why I Order From Netrition
I’ve been ordering low carb foods from Netrition for almost six full years now. I’ve never had anything but a GREAT experience with them, including fast shipping and great packaging. And of course they have cheap flat rate shipping, so it’s less than $6 to get it all sent right to your front door (fast!) no matter how much you order.
I also mistakenly ordered this low carb bread from Amazon originally, which cost me WAY too much in comparison. 😛
Ordering the bread from Netrition is ideal so you can try other low carb foods too, without paying extra for shipping. Like the low carb pancakes, and even the low carb brownies – because they now carry Good Dee’s mixes, and they’re in stock there!
I’m an affiliate for Netrition so it really helps if you use my link when you place an order, so I can continue reviewing fun new low carb products for you! We have a discount code too. Just add code LOWCARBTRAVELER at checkout.
Anyway, back to the bread… 🙂
What I Love About The Great Low Carb Bread Company
This bread is only 1 carb per slice and the best I’ve ever tasted. Most of them taste like dirt, lol. It’s the ONLY low carb bread I’ll buy. I get the Everything Bread flavor. It’s absolutely delicious – and it makes a GREAT low carb grilled cheese! 🙂
Note: I don’t pay extra for thermal packaging or expedited shipping. Just the low flat rate shipping. I’ve tried it all 3 ways and it comes just fine without spending more.
I did A LOT of research on low carb breads.
Some are VERY misleading.
This low carb bread will not stall you, throw you out of ketosis, or cause cravings. The ingredients are solid.
K.S. said: “I got my bread, bagels and tortillias today from Netrition! Oh my, girl I could not resist trying the bread -1/2 a slice just to taste 🙂 and I am saying the texture is exactly like bread, and so is the taste. I had to put in freezer immediately! Thank you so much for the recommendation bc It was expensive. It helps having someone who has tried it to say this it is what I like. So… Thank you!”
What Everyone Else Said About Their Low Carb Breads & Bagels…
Julie: Got ours today too from your recommendation…. oh my goodness! Yummmmm
Denise: I love the rye and the sourdough
Michelle: I have been buying their sourdough bread, multigrain bagels and cinnamon bagels for a few years now. LOVE THEM!! Totally worth the price.
Tracey: I love how people complain about the cost of an entire loaf of bread (many meals) and yet have no issue paying the same price for a single fast food meal.
Me: Tracey You should have seen how much I used to spend eating junk food. 😛 haha. And yes, a loaf of this bread lasts me over a week, so it’s well worth it.
Denise: I think it is totally worth it. The people that complain about the price have not been without bread long enough. 😀
Cindy: I got mine yesterday based on the recommendation. Plain and Cinnamon and I’ve already had both! My, how I’ve missed bread. Delish!!!
Kay: Is this a photo of the everything bread? What is in it?
Me: Yes 🙂 One of my own orders. You can see the ingredients & nutrition facts here, when you choose a flavor (Everything Bread) from the drop down box.
Shelia: Got my bread n bagels today too. Had a toasted bagel with butter for dinner. Yum.
Debbie: Got my Everything bread this week also. I love it. I toasted one slice with butter and made an egg sandwich! It was so good!
The Low Carb Everything Bagels are awesome too!
I did a detailed ingredients comparison here:
Low Carb Bagels: Comparing The Ingredients (Are They Fake Bagels??)
Gwenda: How long will this keep ???
Me: You can freeze it. 🙂 I keep mine in the refrigerator, and then toast it or make a grilled cheese, or grilled ham & cheese:
Jeanene: Is it gluten free?
Me: The same company makes a gluten free low carb bread here. 🙂
Pat: It is really good and don’t let the price hold you back. It is so worth it. I keep mine in the freezer and pull it out when I want to use it. The rye and sourdough are good also. Reubens on the rye bread are so yummy!
Beth: Thank you so much for the leg work you did for this and sharing the information with us!!!!!!
Brooke: So, how long do they take to ship to you? I ask because I wonder if I should go without the cold packets like you said. I ordered from them once, and being in Houston, it took almost a week to arrive.
Me: I’m in Tennessee and my orders always come super fast!
Pat: I get mine the 2nd day after ordering. I’m in Wisconsin.
Katie: I usually order so that it goes out on Monday and I have it before Friday, usually no later than Thursday. I’ve ordered several times from them. I love their Everything Bagels. I slice and freeze them immediately, and take out a couple at a time to leave in the refrigerator.
Me: I get it as a treat, and it’s SO worth it. And I save tons of money not eating all the junk food I used to eat, so that makes it worth it to me, lol.
Karen: I keep mine in the freezer & put a few slices in a ziplock for my counter or refrigerator. I have even toasted while frozen. But after years of low carb, a loaf lasts me at least a month. And I never share this bread with anyone except my low-carb mom!!!
Akesha: I just received my order of hamburger buns loaf of bread tortillas and pizza crust…love that site! And so far everything is great especially the hamburger buns…I’m in heaven…this site makes this woe so much easier now!! Oh yea I ordered the pancake mix…it is delicious!!
Me: If you’re placing an order with Netrition, you should get this pancake / waffle mix too. 😉
Denisez: I’m in Louisiana, I’ve ordered in summer ( I did do thermal but the ice packs are always melted by the time I get my order, not doing that again) and have never gotten moldy bread. I make large orders and freeze. I found that if I order on Sunday night, I’ll get order by Friday. The first time I ordered, my order sat the whole weekend ( they don’t deliver on weekends) and wasn’t delivered till Monday. Timing is everything..
Pat: I usually order on a Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. By Wednesday noon I have it. I’ve been very happy with the delivery.
Tammy: What kind of texture is the bread?
Me: It’s more dense than traditional wheat bread. I prefer it toasted or grilled ham & cheese.
Jill: To me it tastes like regular bread but honestly keeps me full. I toast mine and put a slice of cheese on it. So good
Kathrynz: I got my bread, bagels and tortillias today from Netrition! So… Thank you!
Brenda: Oh my I just can’t afford 8 dollars for a loaf of bread plus shipping!!! Ill do without. 🙁 why does it cost so much to eat healthy? Makes me sad cause I miss bread.
Me: I spent so much more eating UNhealthy. Sadly I would binge eat before, so I could drop $20 at a drive thru – just for myself.
Kathay: I love it too, it lasts over 1 month in the fridge.
Jill: It is so worth the money
Pat: I’ve ordered the different breads and love them. I also ordered the onion pockets but haven’t tried them yet. They look great though. So far I like everything I’ve ordered. I am eating a peanut butter sandwich on the sourdough bread, so good , 6 net carbs.
Pat: Update on the onion pockets from Great Low Carb Bread Company… fantastic! Big thumbs up! I read all the reviews online at Netrition and every one was great. Can use from sandwiches, burgers, brats, I put Mississippi roast on mine last night. I will definitely be ordering more.
Kathryn: Got mine! Love the bread! Had it w fried eggs yesterday.. delicious! The tortillas I can say absolutely the same about. Already ordered another package cos my daughter liked them too – we made enchiladas.
The bagels I bought (cinnamon flavor) were good also. 1/2 filled me up. However they were not as dense as bagels should be but that is okay- they are 1 carb for a whole bagel so I may use them for open faced sandwiches and save the bread for fried eggs.. since they are 1 carb per slice. All this to say using once in a while… they are all in my freezer.
Teri: I am going on my 3rd week and I lost 9lbs. I am not sure if I should try this for a while
Me: That’s totally up to you Teri. I’ve tested it, and had the same results as all the reviews I read around the web – it doesn’t spike blood sugar, throw you out of ketosis, or cause bloating or cravings. You have to be really cautious about low carb bread products, but this one is good.
I did an ingredient comparison here…

This has peaked my interest. I’ll be ordering via your link soon!
You’ll really enjoy it, Vickie 🙂 I look forward to hearing what you order and how you like it!
I wish they had gluten free low carb bread… :/
Hi Cynthia 🙂
I made my own, and it was very easy – and so delicious! Here is my recipe: https://www.travelinglowcarb.com/25126/keto-loaf-bread-recipe/ It’s keto friendly low carb sliced loaf bread, and it made the perfect grilled cheese!
I don’t think they sell the macadamia nut butter I used in that recipe anymore… but you can even make that yourself or any soft nut butter will work. Enjoy!
I’ve been ordering thru Netrition for over a year and try to remember to do it from your link. I always have the low carb bread and hot dog buns in the freezer. It might seem expensive but we don’t eat it as often like we used to eat regular bread. Sometimes just have to have that toast in the morning or grilled cheese. I even have used it to make croutons! We never use the hot dog buns for hot dogs. Instead I divide them in two, make garlic butter and bake or broil them to make bread sticks. Each one is only 1 carb. We Love them. When I order I always order enough products so the shipping seems like nothing. As far as the pasta goes we LOVE it. My husband is diabetic and this is wonderful! Besides the fetucini I’ve tried the rotini and the reg. macaroni. I can’t say enough about those products!
I liked the pasta A LOT more than I thought I would. 🙂 I agree that it’s SO nice to have these options for things like garlic bread, a grilled cheese, and I’m excited about cold pasta dishes for the summer months too!
This bread is great, the rye is my fave, trying pumpernickel this week. There are times in life that only a toasty cheese will do. This bread fulfills that need, and don’t skimp on the butter or cheese.:)
I can vouch for Netrition, been a customer for years and they are the best. Usually place my order over the weekend so with basic UPS delivery, my order will arrive on Thursday. They make it easy to try new low carb items without spending a lot of $.
I like that too, Jo – that you can buy individual items instead of just cases like most places. 🙂 And I agree on not skimping on the butter & cheese!;)
Lynn, if we click the link for Everything bread you posted above, can we order everything we want and you’ll get credit for all our order? Or, do we need a separate link for each product?
Before LCHF, I ate and loved onion bagels. Do you think Netrition’s Everything would be comparable or do they have a plain onion one you’d recommend? I also loved rye bread. Reviews sound like Netrition’s is a good buy.
Thanks for all your research and suggestions, Lynn!
Another question…Do you buy thin sliced or regular?
I buy regular sliced. 🙂 They have onion pockets too. Anything you order will be credited once you click any of the links, so you don’t have to click on separate links or anything – thank you! The Everything Bagels have such a GREAT flavor.
If you select those from the drop down menu: https://travelinglowcarb.com/bread you can see the Ingredients along with the nutrition facts. They’re great!
You could of course make a grilled cheese with plenty of real butter and use onion salt too – that would be delicious. 🙂
I Love their everything bagels. Yummy yummy. With cream cheese and sf jam, i feel like i am cheating but i am not. Lol
Ohhh… those bagels! 🙂 They’re my favorite – toasted then made into a sandwich with turkey & cheese & mayo. YUM!
Going to check it out now. Yum!
I have to tell you that YOU keep me motivated. Last week I actually signed up for 3 months of Weight Watchers online and then realized I couldn’t have all the fat I eat, as well as I’m sure my Sugars would have elevated again, so did I lose 40.00 YES, but I am staying on LCHF. Thank you for all the work you put into your site YOU ARE APPRECIATED!
Thank you so much for your note and kind words, Connie – you really made my day. 🙂 🙂 I’m so glad you’re back! Did you lose any weight doing WW last week? How long did you do/try LCHF prior to that switch? I’d love to hear your experiences so far…
I didn’t even attempt it. I started logging what I had that day (Bulletproof coffee) and my points dwindled fast. I would rather to high fat, low carb then points and be hungry LOL!!!! It lasted 5 while minutes SIGH!
Yeah, I don’t think I could go back either, lol…
I am a first time buyer, do people sign up to use the Thermal Packing? Is it really needed? Before I buy the thin sliced everything bread I would really appreciate knowing. Thank you in advance
Hi Kathy,
I personally do not get thermal packaging or expedited shipping. I have tried it all ways, and it arrives just fine in TN with just the cheap flat rate shipping. 🙂 Enjoy the bread!!
So I just placed an order … OMG I cannot wait … I have Bulletproof Whey Protein coming, Pumpkin Spice Bagels, Everything Bread, Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns, Garlic Butter Soft Pretzels, Low Carb Penne Pasta, Flax/Oat Bran and Whole Wheat Pita, Fettucini Shirataki, SF Honey Substitute, No Sugar added Spicy Marinara Sauce and SF Zilch Margarita and Strawberry Daquiri Packets. Thank you Lynn!!!!
Yum, Connie – that all sounds great!! 🙂
I love that honey, btw : http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/honey I mix it 1 tbsp to 1 tbsp of real butter and melt it together to make Honey Butter. MMMMMM 🙂
Can’t wait to try it. Come across so many recipes for honey that sound good and now I can. I DID use your link and again, THANK YOU for all you do for us. Clicking on a link is the least I can do for you. Do you have your link to fabletics as well?
Thank you, Connie 🙂 And yes: https://www.fabletics.com/invite/lowcarbtraveler/ You’ll LOVE fabletics! I’m hooked, lol.
I love that you can skip a month anytime – or every time even – so there’s no financial commitment at all. And they have GREAT deals and sales sometimes. Those are always worth catching.;)
Your comment about the sugar free honey reminded me of these yummy biscuits I made (Honey Almond Biscuits): http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/13861/honey-almond-biscuits/ I’ll have to make those again. 🙂 *cheers*
Just placed my order and joined under your link. So excited. Jeesh 10 months ago who would have thunk that I would LIKE buying workout clothes. Thanks for the low carb biscuit recipe as well. Yum, can’t wait for my Netrition order on Tuesday!
Enjoy! 🙂 🙂
I’m going to be making an order soon, too but I’m not sure which protein powder to get. I see it is used in a lot of recipes. Any preferences? I just noticed you have an ad for the “Naked” brand, too….
I don’t personally use any protein powders…
Anyone else have a recommendation??
Everything Bread is sold out, darn 🙁
Ah, no fun that it’s sold out! It’ll be back soon though. 😉 A lot of people like the sourdough: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/bread
And the pancakes are amazing! I add blueberries: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/pancakes
This is the sugar free syrup I like best: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/syrup That same company makes a GREAT sugar free preserves (my favorite is: mountain berry!)
I am a skeptic due to insulin resistance and my metabolic issues. I was reading the ingredients and it has wheat as an ingredient. I am glad on the other hand that their options for people doing low carb diets that are not very strict. I have found out the hard way until I can get some of my internal issues under control those types of treats are off the table for me.
Hi Aretha 🙂 That’s a legit concern, and you definitely want to stick to what works best for you. I did A LOT of research on this low carb bread (and others) and was amazed to find all the positive experiences – similar to my own tests. You might research it on Google like “insulin resistance great low carb bread” and “metabolic great low carb bread” and see what you find. Diabetics LOVE this one, I know that. 🙂
Why should I give you credit for what I buy.
That’s a GREAT question, Denise. 🙂 There are two reason I really appreciate when you use my links – if I told you about something that interested you, or referred you to another site.
1. Because those merchants track how many people click and/or order from OUR group specifically, and that’s how they decide whether to work with me or not.
The better the numbers, the easier it is for me to score you exclusive discount codes, giveaways and special deals. Which I do all the time. 🙂
2. Because this site, the low carb challenge, the facebook group, and everything I do here will be the first to go if I have any financial stress whatsoever. Meaning – it would all disappear.
I spend HOURS writing every post, sharing every detail, giving ideas & inspiration, creating how-to posts that teach people how to track macros and how to deal with keto flu, etc.
Not to mention I answer EVERY single question, comment, help every single person that asks me for it, etc – taking hours and hours and hours of my time. And I do it for FREE.
The only way I can do all this FREE TO YOU is by working with my brands and advertisers, where in most cases I make a very small commission on sales that doesn’t come anywhere near compensating me for the time I invest here… but it does keep us going. 🙂
And as a final note – because it doesn’t cost you any more at all to use my link, versus not using my link, and it contributes to a cause that is reaching and helping more than half a million people (and growing). 🙂
Oh Lyn. You are the best. You do so much to help us all stay motivated and you are always honest in your own personal struggles with weight loss and food cravings etc.
And you do not charge us one cent and you answer every question asked even if it takes research to answer it
For personal weight loss consultation it cost money. Nutri system, Weight watchers etc all charge for their services
The LEAST we can do is to use your links to purchase things we’d buy anyway. I am more than happy to do so.
You help people more than you couls ever imagine. I was finally able to start losing weight again last March because of your challenges. I backslid a bit but now i am getting back on track. I gained a little weight adding carbs back occassionally and then i started eating carbs more often than not….i too gained 10 lbs back but now my weight is going back down…..because of your challenges
I hope you CAN continue with this challenge and your web site as long as you can. There is a huge amount of information available in your web site that could help many people with their weight loss struggles. Thank you so very much for everything you do. You are appreciated. I hope this comment above did not upset you or discourage you. I thought it was a rather rude question but you handled it very nicely. Gina.
Thank you, Gina 🙂
You have all helped ME stay on track too, and I enjoy my work here and our community SO much!
It’s definitely more fun to do it with friends, than it is to go it alone. 😉
Well, that’s a rude comment! Lynn works tiresly for us, and she is very upfront and honest with us. Helping us all the time, showing her our meals daily, goodness, that’s terrible to even comment. I would guess you are not a happy person. She comments on alot of our comments, answers questions, shows us *real* life trials, and puts herself out there. I would guess you haven’t been here long. Thank you Lynn! I appreciate all you do!
Lynn
What are your thoughts on using these low-carb breads, bread crumbs, etc when first switching to a low carb lifestyle. DO you see any stalls? Or does it inhibit weight loss at all? Should i wait a few weeks to introduce these items?
Thanks Maxine
Hi Maxine 🙂 Everyone has different opinions, so this is mine:
First, no this particular brand does not stall me or cause cravings or bloating or anything like that. It’s the ONLY low carb bread I trust or will buy/eat myself: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/bread (I like the Everything Bread the best).
My advice: You can eat whatever you like as long as it’s low carb and fits within your macros (20 net carbs max, 70% fat minimum) – such as the low carb bread, for example. It doesn’t really matter where you are in your weight loss journey.
Some things may stall your weight loss, or slow it down, such as protein bars or other processed foods. IF you are trying to break a stall or plateau, or needing to slim down quicker for an upcoming event, the best thing to do is eat super clean – all real food, nothing processed, no products, just meat & greens + healthy fats only – and as simple as possible: 3-4 ingredients max per plate.
When you posted this, I ordered some bread but wasn’t sure if it was regular or thin slice. I ended up ordering the thin slice and I love it. Thank you. My question Is how many times a week do you recommend we eat this bread?
Hi Jacqueline 🙂 I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!
I make myself limit it to one serving / 2 slices per day max, and not *every* day if I can help it, but that’s hard if it’s in the house. 🙂
Nice do you have an affiliate discount on netrition?
thanks
Hi Nikki 🙂
Netrition doesn’t have any discount or promo codes. They have a box for it on their checkout page, but that must just be part of their shopping cart software. They’ve never had a discount code since I’ve been shopping there for over 6 years. 😉 But their prices ARE cheaper than the other places you can order the same products, usually even the merchants website!
Really what are you buying? Everything I wanted was 1-2 $ more? Quest powder and bars were 5$ more… and walden farms.. I do want to try this bread. thanks!
They cost more at Netrition than on the merchants website or in the store – is that what you meant? I haven’t found that to be the case…
What do you use Quest powder for?
For protein waffles or protein fluff ice cream..Yah I mean they cost more at Nerition than the stores I use now. but there are some items I am interested in on there.
It does pay to shop around, and consider additional shipping costs from multiple online stores too of course – or your time if you’re shopping offline. Often I’ll spend a few extra bucks for convenience (online or off).
But yes, I do price comparisons on the low carb foods in the Keto Krate boxes every month, and it’s surprising the price differences (or shipping cost differences) sometimes.
Most of the stuff I get on Netrition though, I can’t find locally. But I do live in a very small town. It’s a 2 hour round trip to the nearest Costco or Whole Foods or any kind of store really outside of the basics.
I like free shipping options. I use Vitacost, Vitaminshoppe, Jet.com, Amazon.. among a few. I am def a price shopper. I tried thin slim bread but was wondering if these are better? I hate to invest in such pricy food sometimes. I also want to try Western Bagel. I get that its hard to find things locally, esp if your needs are specialized!
I haven’t tried either of those low carb breads, but do a Google search and read LOTS of reviews. Most people (especially diabetics) test them to see if they spike blood sugar and they’ll report in online in forums or in the reviews. And some companies have gotten in legal trouble for mislabeling / misrepresenting carb counts & nutrition facts. Again, I’m not familiar with those brands, but definitely do your homework! I know for sure the Great Low Carb bread is “keto safe” – and also REALLY good. 🙂 (p.s. don’t do Julian Bakery low carb bread – yuck!!)
Ordered and am excited to get it soon! I ordered the Keto cookie based on your posts and recommendations…and ya didnt steer me wrong there, so I have faith I will love these. Thanks for trying this stuff out! Truly value your opinion and comments. Thanks 🙂
I’m so glad, Mary – those Keto Kookies are delicious!!
Enjoy the bread! I love the Everything Bread made into a grilled cheese. The trick: don’t skimp on the butter when grilling it. 🙂 Yum!!
Do you ship to Vancouver Canada? And if so how much does that cost?
Hi Michelle,
I’m not sure if they do or not. Check: https://netrition.com/lowcarbtraveler It seems they may have started, but if not do a search for “Canada low carb grocery” – a friend of mine out of Vancouver gets these products somewhere in that area!
How to order? What is the cost?
Hi Lisa,
Go to https://www.travelinglowcarb.com/bread I like the Everything Bread and the Everything Bagels – they’re a great company, and that’s the best place to get them, plus you can order a variety of other low carb foods/staples at good prices with low flat rate shipping (or even free shipping). 🙂
I have ordered from them for 8 or 9 years. They’re the most popular online store / delivery for all our favorite low carb & keto brands & pantry products.
