I did it!! WE did it! 🙂 Another 90 day challenge has come to an end, and I am SO proud of myself – and pleased with the results! I hope you’re feeling the same. 🙂
If you haven’t yet, go comment on the Final Weigh-In Thread inside the group.
It’s important to get a “total pounds lost together” tally for this challenge!
I finished at 143.2 pounds, for a total of 11.4 pounds lost during the Spring challenge.
Averaging a pound a week is GREAT at my weight (so close to goal). I started this challenge at 154.6 pounds.
I’ve also been working out more than ever, and really toning up!
I’ve been eating low carb for over 5 years now and didn’t make that many food or lifestyle changes, and STILL lost about a pound a week (almost 12 pounds)! When I first started I lost 8 pounds in the first 10 days, and lost 24 pounds within the first couple of months.
People who have more to lose will lose faster than me of course, and people who are just starting the low carb diet will lose more weight as well – because they are usually making bigger changes to their diet (quitting sugar, giving up bread, etc).
The Spring 2016 Challenge Is Over… What’s Next?!
I’ll be continuing to eat low carb, so keep going with me! 🙂
Check out the four steps below too, and stay tuned for our Summer Mini-Challenges and the next BIG low carb challenge – both to be announced soon.

Here is my Low Carb Food Diary for Day 90 (the final day!!) of the “Get Lean For Summer!” 90 Day Low Carb Challenge…
Day 90: Saturday’s Low Carb Meals
My healthy low carb breakfast was a delicious mix of of 1/2 cup pecans, 1/4 cup Daisy brand cottage cheese, 2 strawberries and 1/8 cup (17.5 grams) blueberries.
^ That came to 6 net carbs and 85% healthy fats.
For lunch I made a simple one-skillet-meal of sausage & fried eggs:
For dinner I just made a dish full of veggies, with some ground sausage. First I fried & drained the ground sausage. Then I mixed in spinach and 2 ounces of cream cheese with the sausage. I put that in a baking dish, topped it with yellow squash, and just broiled it a bit:
That dinner experiment turned out really tasty! 🙂
It was 4 net carbs for a serving (284 calories) and a tasty way to eat my veggies. I figured out the nutrition facts using the Free MyFitnessPal Recipe Calculator.
I was up really late last night, so I had a second serving of that around midnight. 🙂 It was so simple, but seriously delicious!!
Here’s My MyFitnessPal Diary for Saturday:

A Little Weight Loss Inspiration For You…
Here’s a photo I shared on Facebook and Instagram yesterday. The difference is only 20-25 pounds (I’ve lost close to 50 pounds total, see: My Weight Loss Journey). It’s shocking how much of a difference even 20’ish pounds can make!
My Experience During This Challenge…
A lot of cool things happened for me during our Spring Challenge. I met Joe a few weeks into it 🙂 and we’ve both lost more than 10 pounds together!
I FINALLY started exercising and toning 4-6 times a week consistently, and my body is REALLY toning up. I battled and FINALLY overcame my emotional eating issues. I stayed consistent (save only 2 off-plan detours, lol) for NINETY FULL DAYS.
I learned to ignore the scales and power through the stalls and fluctuations – and because of that saw my weight consistently go down.
I’m calling this challenge a HUGE success!!
How did you do during the challenge?
Did you participate in the full challenge or at least part of it – and how did you do?? I would love to hear what’s next for YOU now that the current challenge has ended.
Are you going to continue on with me, and join in for the next challenges?!
I always look forward to hearing from you. 🙂

I’m looking forward to joining you in your next challenge. I have been following along on this one, but was unable to join because of a 12 day cruise right in the middle of the challenge 90 days.
You look great Lynn, and very happy!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Lori! π Cruises offer TONS of low carb options of course, but I understand and respect your decision. Next time just join in anyway and work around the events – or do what you need to do and otherwise eat healthy & stay challenged. π 12 days is a small bit of the overall 90 day challenge!
Jane says
Congratulations on a successful 90 day challenge! I follow along via email (I don’t do Facebook!!) and have looked forward to every email that came in! You are very motivational because you are a normal person with normal struggles! This last 90 days I have also been successful, I am 2 lbs away from being in my healthy BMI and like you I still have some work to do with the stomach region so I will likely continue to lose some more weight. I am looking forward to the summer mini challenges! :). Thank you Lynn!!!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Jane! π And congrats on getting SO close to your goal!! Yes, I definitely have some midsection work to do π Ack! That’s seems to be the toughest spot, lol.
I’m up to 100 reps on my Ab Carver and pretty consistent with it, and I refuse to give in until I tone that area up!!

Lynn when I found your page it gave so much insight in what i was not doing. keeping it simple was the best advise from you I struggled with meals since I have non carbers at home. I was 80lbs down in march havent weighed since but I will at the end of this month, plus off all my meds except for a 1/2 of a blood pressure med which i hope to be off of as soon as i get the rest of the weight off. yes I can tell I have lost weight, Exercise is hard for me since I have back and muscle issues that is very pain full but being in the pool has helped me so much. I am more out going now and can do some much more than I did a few years back ( work & bed) was it for me. I wont say its not a struggle it is @ 60 years old. not so much the woe but wanting the weight to come on off like yesterday lol but I keep on keeping on I NO where I was and where I am at today.I hope that you continue your page and blog I have so enjoyed it.You look fantastic and a happy camper now days . Thank you so much for allowing me to join your sites.

My hat is off to you, Lynn! I did what you said. Started using My Fitness Pal, listened to your 1-hour class and put the net carbs hack in. From losing .2 pounds my first week, I lost 4 pounds this week!!! I wasn’t getting near enough healthy fats. You have helped me so much by your blog, FB page, recommendations and recipes. I’m very much looking forward to the mini challenge and the next long one. For the first time in my long life, I have hope that I can ditch this tonnage. I had countless stomach surgeries for cancer and MRSA. I have about half a stomach and maybe 1/3 the intestines most people have. You think I’d be skinny. HAH! But still, I started losing weight once I began to follow your regimen. I am SOOOOOO grateful and looking forward to more!
Lynn Terry says
That is so awesome, Carla!! π That really makes my day! I went through the same thing, by the way – I was eating too lean and didn’t even realize it, but it totally stalled out my weight loss.
Adding in the daily 1/2 cup pecans with my breakfast “cereal” is an easy way for me to get healthy fats!

I have not been able to post/view or even find the 90 day low carb challenge group for that matter since the latter part of last week. Was I removed?
Lynn Terry says
Hi Angela!
It’s possible… especially if you posted a link (even accidentally) to a spam site. Or it could have been an accidental removal. Message me through my Facebook Page at http://www.facebook.com/lowcarbtraveler so I can take your username and check on that for you. π
