I still haven’t cooked this week. My low carb meals have actually been boring, and super easy all week. I really need to mix it up, and maybe cook. Maybe. 😛
I’ve been sore ALL week from doing my T25 Workout and reps on my Ab Carver Pro. There’s this moment around the 13-minute mark in the cardio DVD where Shaun says, “I’m here for you” in a voice that completely melts me to pieces (lol) – and forces me to finish. 🙂 *sigh*
I’m really motivated to work on my arms right now, by the way. I’ll share two cool arm workout videos with you below. They’re great for getting rid of those flabby batwings!
First, a quick photo tour of my meals yesterday…
Saturday’s Low Carb Meals & Macros
I’ve been eating this all week. It’s just so GOOD – and so easy! I stir it all together into “low carb cereal” and it’s the perfect combination of crunchy & sweet. 🙂
I make it a little different each time. Yesterday it was 1/4 cup Daisy brand cottage cheese, 1/2 cup crushed pecans, and 4 small diced (frozen) strawberries.
5 net carbs, 85% healthy fats.
For lunch I just had an Atkins bar and a glass of water. You can see that in my MyFitnessPal food diary below. I was tired – and ended up taking a nice long Saturday afternoon nap after that. 🙂
For dinner I decided to get a Low Carb Thickburger from Hardee’s:
I ordered “a double” and said “no onion, no mustard, no ketchup” – and then chopped it all up into a “hot salad”:
It was good that way. 🙂
Oh – and I had a yummy little low carb dessert late last night too. It’s a sugar free chocolate pudding cup with Reddi Whip cream. Delicious!!
Here’s my complete MyFitnessPal Food Diary for yesterday:
I’ve been slack about taking pictures and sharing my meals this week. Sorry about that! Here’s a low carb take-out meal from earlier this week (I forget which day). It was grilled chicken smothered in mozzarella & mushrooms with roasted broccoli:
I really need to get some variety in my meals. I’m getting bored with my food (lol). That’s one thing I LOVE about traveling – all the great low carb meals to enjoy! My next trip is in a few short weeks, by the way – this time to Orlando. More sunshine and warm weather. 🙂 Yay!
Here are the tone-your-arms videos I found that I like:
How’s your week going? I would love to hear what you’re eating, and the workouts you’re doing that you like! Leave a comment & let’s discuss. 🙂

Loved the first video! Thanks!

I like that one too – it’s one I saved and want to do daily this month. π I’ve done it a few times and it’s a great workout! One you can easily incorporate light weights into…

Lynn, I must tell you that I love cottage cheese and I have been buying Breakstone… I finally broke down and bought Daisy brand. AND, I must tell you that you are straight on! It is THE best cottage cheese I have ever tasted! I’ve made your favorite famous “cereal” quite a few times, but it has never tasted better as when it’s made with Daisy brand! It is delicious! Thanks so much!
Lynn Terry says
I’m so glad, Patti! Yes, it’s “the daisy difference” π lol. I remember the day I decided on Daisy. I was standing at the WALL of cottage cheese and comparing labels looking for the lowest in carbs… and Daisy had THREE ingredients I recognized. Every other brand on the shelf had a whole paragraph of stuff I couldn’t even pronounce. π That was the day I “went Daisy”. π
Lisa says
OMG I love your dessert idea Lynn! I will borrow this for my late night snack habit, which I am in the process of curbing… I still gotta have something, and this will be just right!! π
Lynn Terry says
It’s very creamy and rich. I don’t eat it often, but it’s a wonderful treat when I really want to indulge. π Enjoy!
Lisa says
Am I buying the wrong canned whip cream? I bought the sugar free land o lakes one that Publix sells. It shows 0 carbs.
Lynn Terry says
No Lisa, that one is probably even better. π I love Land O’ Lakes products!
Susan Graben says
I tried to use the MyFitness Pal entry for the Hardee’s low carb thickburger and find that it tells me there is wrong data as there are negative carbs. In looking at your entry, I see that you have entered each item on its own. I am guessing that is the best way to do this?
Susan Graben says
I went back in and entered each item separately but am still coming out with negative carbs. I got my info from the Hardee’s nutrition site and it has 0 carbs for the hamburger patty and 7 grams of fiber; therefore my net carbs are coming out minus. Is there a work around for this?
Lynn Terry says
Hi Susan,
Just enter yours like I did mine in the diary above (on this post). Sometimes it takes a few tries to find accurate entries for each item, but once you do – they stay in your diary to use over and over again so that makes it easy. Or you can save it as a “meal” and name it Low Carb Thickburger so it’s super easy to enter every time. π
