Yesterdayโs low carb meals were super easy. They totaled 18 net carbs, 25 total carbs, and 1580 calories โ with 115 grams of protein, and 64% fat.
Iโll share a couple of low carb take-out meals I had over the weekend too, since returning home from my low carb San Diego trip.
Iโve been a bit jet-lagged, and just resting up after such a fun & busy week, so these are some great LAZY low carb ideas for you. ๐
Mondayโs Meals & Macros
I started the day with my favorite โlow carb cerealโ which I make a big different every time. This time it was 1/2 cup Daisy brand cottage cheese, 1/2 cup crushed pecans, 4 small diced strawberries, and an Atkins Peanut Butter Granola Bar (chopped up). Total: 10 net carbs, 75% fat.
I had a slice of colby jack cheese off the block for a snack, a long nap (lol) and a very late lunch โ which was a Low Carb Thickburger from Hardeeโs (also called Carlโs Jr in some areas). I ordered a double โ with no mustard, no onions and no ketchup.
I usually just eat it like a burger in the lettuce wrap, but yesterday I chopped it all up together into a โhot saladโ. ๐ I ate about half of it for lunch, and the other half for dinner. (It was a LOT of food! lol)
Seriously, those 1/3 pound patties are almost as big as my face. ๐
I enter my foods into MyFitnessPal by individual ingredients. This is a lot easier, especially when you special order a menu item (like my burger above), or make a combination of ingredients (like my โcerealโ for breakfast).
Hereโs how my macros worked out yesterday in MyFitnessPal:
Here are a couple of other low carb take-out meals I had over the weekendโฆ
For breakfast on Saturday I ordered grilled tenderloin & fried eggs:
While I was picking that up (a local place with a drive-thru), I also got โtwo hamburger pattiesโ (thatโs how I ordered it). I had those dipped in Dukeโs mayo later in the day. Delicious. ๐ Itโs a great place that makes โreal food.โ
ย
I havenโt done any cooking (AT ALL) since I got home, which is nice. ๐ I love that eating low carb is so EASY! I do have some chicken thighs thawing, but tonight I think Iโll make up some smoked sausages and cauliflower. I havenโt decided yet.
Stay tuned for my next low carb diary! ๐ *cheers*

Not sure Iโve ever heard you mention this, but what are your thoughts on the โegg fastโ?.. by the way I love your recipes, pictures and busy lifestyle~it reminds me of meโโ have a great day!
Thank you Gayle! ๐ I know a lot of people do the egg fast, or the fat fast, but personally thatโs too much like โdietingโ to me. And I would gag by the end of day ONE on eggs. ๐ lol.
I just eat super healthy. I think a lot of people do these โtricksโ after eating off plan (having a cheat, or getting derailed). Itโs just not necessary. All you have to do is eat low carb and youโll naturally start losing weight again. Or if youโre in a true stall, analyze your diaries for potential culprits โ and make improvements.
I always suggest the 3IMAX method for stalls or slow weight loss: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/6064/3-ingredients-rule/ It works like a charm! ๐ Youโll find most of my food diaries already follow this โruleโโฆ
Thank you so much for the photos of what you eat โ I guess Iโm super visual, but that helps me so much โ truly enjoying your blog!!
Iโm so glad, Donna โ thank you! ๐ You can also browse my photo updates on Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/lowcarbtraveler or on Facebook if you prefer that โ at http://www.facebook.com/lowcarbtraveler I try to post all of my meals as I go on those two pages. ๐
Thanks so much for the time you take to continue to teach and show, you make this so much easier and friendly โ thanks again โ Have a wonderful week.
Thank you Bobbie ๐ Iโm glad it helps!
Thank you for sharing your diet diary. Iโve started high protein high fat and of course low carb diet since last June to cure eczema. Your blog makes me happy always! ๐
Thank you, Chucky โ that makes my day! ๐ *cheers*
