I came home from Atlanta to several packages. One was this awesome Sampler 12-Pack (left) from
Quest Bar. The box included 4 each of their three newest flavors: Mixed Berry Bliss, Chocolate Brownie and Apple Pie. 😯 YUM!!
I have tried other bars since I’ve been on the Low Carb Diet, mainly the Atkins bars. They’re great for quick snacks, and especially helpful when you’re traveling or on the go.
So when I heard about Quest Bars, I was anxious to try them out. Especially for their flavors!!
I did a little research online first, and found that others were RAVING about them. And not just bloggers or affiliates, but people were commenting *everywhere* online – especially all over Facebook. I was also impressed with their pricing, and their special offers on shipping & larger orders.
But of course, the true test is in the taste…
They sent me the Sampler Pack above to try out their three new flavors. And I did – all three of them. 😀 LOL. I have to say, it only took me ONE BITE to know without a doubt that I would recommend Quest Bars to ANYone!
The Mixed Berry Bliss is currently my favorite. It’s fruity, chewy, and has a great mixed berry flavor. It actually reminds me of my favorite cereal (Special K Fruit & Yogurt) so I’ve been having one in the morning with my coffee. LOVE this one!!
The Apple Pie bar has the same chewy texture, but with chunks of soft dried apples and a hint of cinnamon. The apples gave it a bit of a different texture. I definitely like it, and am impressed with the combination of flavors, but it didn’t beat Mixed Berry Bliss as my fave.
The Chocolate Brownie bar smells like fudge, and tastes like a big thick chewy fudgy brownie. Very chocolately, very sweet – and definitely best had as a low carb dessert after a light snack or meal. YUM.
They all had a great texture, and easy to chew – not hard and crunchy like some bars.
In addition to tasting GREAT, they’re also very low carb…
Low Carb, High Fiber & High Protein
The cool thing is that they’re not full of Sugar Alcohols like many of the other low carb bars. They’re very high protein and high fiber. While each Quest Bars is different, they are all low carb. Here is the wrapper for the Mixed Berry Bliss bar, for example:
A Variety of Low Carb Flavors
After trying the three newest Quest Bars flavors, I’m hooked! I’m now anxious to try the original flavors, and am placing an order next week. Here are the flavors they currently have available on their website:
- Vanilla Almond Crunch
- Peanut Butter Supreme
- Mixed Berry Bliss
- Chocolate Brownie
- Apple Pie
Quest Bars get two thumbs up from me – Love them! I’ll definitely be ordering more 😉

I just got my box of Quest bars today. So far I have tried the Vanilla Crunch, Chocolate Brownie and the Apple Pie ones. The Vanilla one was ok. The one bite of the Chocolate Brownie I took ended up in the trash. It was way to much for me. Scott liked it though, so he will be taking them to work for a snack. The Apple Pie is currently my favorite. I love the apple pies that it has in it. I found it very nice and light. I could have actually eaten another one but I decided to take your advice and not over do it…lol!
I will be having the Mixed Berry Bliss one in the morning. I can’t wait to try that one.

I look forward to hearing what you think of the Mixed Berry Bliss. It’s my favorite, with the Apple Pie pulling a close second. π The chocolate is too much for me too. I haven’t been able to finish a whole bar, just because it’s so rich! I liked the Vanilla Almond Crunch flavor, but definitely didn’t top the berry bliss as my fave.
Cindy Persicketti says
Terry how did you order samples?
Lynn Terry says
Hi Cindy π I ordered full sized bars from their site here: http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-1209234-11781079

Just had a Mixed Berry Bliss for my morning snack. I like it but I think I like the Apple Pie one much more. π I could eat that one several times a day…lol! So for now I Apple Pie is my #1 followed by Mixed Berry and Vanilla Crunch. I’m looking forward to trying to peanut butter one tomorrow as peanut butter bars are always my favorites.
Lynn Terry says
I regret not ordering the peanut butter. Let me know how you like it. I am pretty sure they changed the Mixed Berry Bliss recipe – it seems to have a lot more berry in it than my original box. Almost like the Apple Pie bar with big junks – delicious!!

Alright Lynn, we have a winner here in the Carney household! Peanut Butter Surpreme is AMAZING! It’s like eating a very light and chewy peanut butter cookie. I absolutely love it. I will be ordering more of those today bc there is only one left in the box – which is a very scary thought by the way…lol!
I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. π
Lynn Terry says
That does it – I’m in! Off to order the Peanut Butter Supreme Quest Bars – and more Mixed Berry Bliss too π

Interesting how tastes differ! I actually was disappointed in the chocolate brownie flavor, found it almost tasting more towards licorice (bit of a salty taste almost) Liked the coconut cashew best, but have not tried the fruit flavors yet. Unfortunately you can’t buy them here, so i’ll have to wait!

There seems to be some controversy about the fiber used in the Quest Bars, IMO. Apparently IMO has approximately 1.6 kcal/gram. So if you have a bar that has 18grams of fiber that comes out to 28.8 calories which divided by 4 kcal/gram for carbohydrates equals 7 grams of unaccounted for carbohydrates. I wrote to the company about this and they admitted there is some controversy about this but that the same would be true for fiber in other products. I’m not clear on if the 7 extra grams of carbs should be added to the 4 net carbs in one of their typical bars.
Rosemary says
nope no correct. You subtract fibre from carbs, not calories.
Melissa says
Have you tries microwaving them for about 15 seconds?! Seriously LIFE CHANGING
Rosemary says
with 22g carbs i would not recommend anyone to eat these on keto, the count is VERY high. that would be your whole day carbs used up in just ONE sitting. Besides Atkins bars are far nicer espec coconut bars at only 2g each.n No brainer for meat least.
Lynn Terry says
It’s the total count (22) not the net carb count. Atkins bars have a high “total carb count” too before you subtract fiber and sugar alcohol.

I was eating one when I found this post! lol My fav is chocolate peanut butter and the s’mores.
