After the long weekend, on Tuesday morning I went through my favorite local drive-thru and ordered a whole day’s worth of food. I do that often. They must think I’m REALLY hungry, haha.
That’s what I call “drive thru grocery shopping” – which is even better than having my groceries delivered, because I don’t even have to cook them. 🙂 lol.
It’s a little local place that makes “real food”. I got two fried eggs, 3 pieces of grilled tenderloin, and 2 hamburger patties (my usual!). That lasts me the entire day, which is awesome!
Anyway, I’ll give you a quick photo tour of most of my meals this week, to give you some easy low carb meal ideas. I rarely cook, eat out a lot, and when I do “make food” it’s super simple stuff – so don’t worry, no complicated recipes here! 🙂
This is the fried eggs & grilled tenderloin take-out I got:
I ate both fried eggs & one piece of tenderloin for breakfast on Tuesday. I had the other two pieces of tenderloin for lunch, and the hamburger patties for dinner. Actually I made a “cheeseburger sandwich” out of one of those patties:
* I used the Low Carb Everything Bread. It’s delicious!
Actually, for lunch I made a sandwich out of the tenderloin too:
Remember that take-out grilled pork tenderloin I got at breakfast? It made for a great #lowcarb sandwich this afternoon….

Eggs are easy to make, so twice this week I made a meal out of scrambled eggs. These are scrambled with colby jack cheese & shredded rotisserie chicken slices:
I also had a low carb peanut butter & jelly sandwich on Wednesday, which really hit the spot!
Last night I got take-out again, grilled chicken & roasted veggies:
I also had a nice little low carb cocktail last night. 🙂
As usual, I over-ordered on the take-out so I could enjoy leftovers for breakfast this morning:
Smart, right? 🙂
For lunch today I snacked: 1/3 cup cottage cheese, a slice of colby jack cheese, 1/4 cup pecan halves. I’m ready for dinner!! What about you – what are you having??

p.s. Happy Friday! 🙂
I have been on this diet for about 3 weeks. I am having a problems with brain fog. Any suggestions?
Hi Donna! Have you had surgery recently? Can you describe your symptoms?
No surgery. I’ve been on it for three weeks. I am taking a multi vitamin and drinking plenty of water. It is possibly low blood sugar. I can’t think and my words sometimes don’t come out correctly. Feel cloudy and irritable. I still have a lot of fatigue. I’ve lost 10 pounds. I eat berries and cantaloupe and salad greens and a few non starchy veggies, proteins and fat. I try to eat every three hours but with my job it is not always easy. I think it is hypoglycemia. I probably should have weaned off the carbs and sugar. I need to lose about 50 more pounds.
How much water? Are you sure it’s not water intoxication??
And how are you tracking? I’d be interested to hear your macros…
I am going to try this diet. It sounds real good.
It’s super easy, Bobbie. 🙂 See the checklist at http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/start-low-carb-diet/
If you are only at week 3 your body may still be detoxing. It took me at least 3 weeks for my body to adjust to life without sugar and carbs. I experienced dizzy spells and headaches.
This is true. Everyone’s symptoms seem to be slightly different. See: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/4689/ketosis-symptoms-and-low-carb-flu/ to understand what your body is going through when you first switch to a low carb diet.
The reason I asked about how much water you were consuming is because too much water can also cause dizzy spells and other symptoms – including full on water intoxication. See: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/4884/how-much-water-should-i-drink/ to learn more about that.
Dear Lynn
Having trouble this week eating right on the low carb diet I want bread and potatoes to much, is there a recipe I can make with out the flax, pumpkin or sunflower seeds, I am so allergic to these seeds, and is sweet potatoes OK to have ?
Thanks Lynn
Hi Susan,
I don’t use any seeds in my recipes. I just use Almond Meal in my breads for example: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/4275/low-carb-biscuit-recipe/
Stay away from potatoes and sweet potatoes too. If you stick to meat & greens (plus healthy fats), and 20 net carbs a day or less, your cravings will go away FAST. 🙂
