Did you know July is National Picnic Month? 😀
Easy Low Carb Picnic Foods to Pack & Enjoy
You don’t necessarily have to create an extravagant meal for your picnic. In fact, it’s usually more fun to have a variety of finger foods that go great together. - Tuna Salad
- Egg Salad
- Boiled Eggs
- Cheese Cubes
- Green Olives

- Meat/Shrimp/Veggie Skewers to Grill
- Bottled Water!! 😀
I love anything outdoors! That said, I’m one of those people that mosquitoes make a “picnic” out of, lol. The “Deep Woods Off” spray works very well, but I don’t like the smell – and I don’t like feeling sticky all over when I use it. Plus I’m always afraid my puppy will lick it or I’ll get it on my hands – and then in my eyes or mouth. All three of which have happened, lol. So what do I use and love? The Off Clip-on!
These little gadgets are amazing!! I use them when I’m walking the dogs, working out in the yard, sitting on the back deck – you name it. They work VERY well, keep the mosquitoes away from me, and I don’t have to worry about being all sticky. Highly recommended for your outdoor fun this Summer & Fall.
Happy National Picnic Month! Enjoy the ideas above, and leave a comment too – I would love to hear what YOU would take on a “low carb picnic”! 😉

So glad I subscribed to your email alerts. They are amazing, inspiring, and LOVE the 4th of July suggestions and the story of the man who intentionally went off track and his honest feedback on the result of that decision. RANG SO TRUE. Why do we do that? Duh..
Wish I had found you much sooner, but better late than never. THANK YOU!

My low carb picnic would be a chicken sandwich, low carb yogurt and chips

Hi Shaunie,
How do you make your chicken sandwich? I use Mama Lupe’s Low Carb Tortillas to wrap burgers and sandwiches. As for chips, these are the only kind I enjoy on a low carb diet:

Lynn,
I am very hesitant to write this but I drastically need help. I have a severe heart problem along with severe diabetes. I am on an insulin pump and am what they call insulin intolerant. I weight 220 lbs and the doctor wants me to lose at least 40 pounds. I can’t keep my sugar levels down because I just can’t pull myself away from the carbs. I am 68 years old and must lose this weight. I also realize that you are not a doctor, but I am not having any luck with weight loss now so I am grasping at any help I can get. I need to find an interesting low carb menu plan that I can stay with.
Any help is appreciated
