I don’t trust my bathroom scale. It’s a dial scale, not digital, and lately it’s always off mark when I glance down at it. I have to adjust it every time I want to weigh.
It’s been making me wary.
So yesterday I hopped on Amazon and did some looking around to find the best digital bathroom scales to order. You can’t beat Amazon. Free shipping. Don’t have to leave the house (always a plus, lol). Here’s what I ended up choosing:
It’s an EatSmart Digital Scale, on sale for $28.95, free shipping & great reviews.
There were over 3,400 reviews with the majority of them being 5-star.
It’s actually clear tempered glass, with silver edges, which will look nice against the hardwood floors in my master bath.
It also has a backlit digital display, which should be *much* easier to read.
I have Amazon Prime, so it should be here tomorrow. 😀
It says this particular EatSmart digital scale is $37.95, but if you click through you’ll see it’s actually on sale for $28.95.
I’m curious what you consider the best digital bathroom scales? I asked on Twitter and was told “salter” were good, but pricey. Some digital bathroom scales will give you body fat, body water, etc – but I really just wanted something simple. What do you look for in scales??

Brian and I just picked up a Weight Watchers scale at Target last night. Our old scale was great, but it the battery had died. I popped it open and found out that it took an expensive battery that was difficult to find without going to a battery supply place – it was easier to buy a new scale! I made sure this one takes normal batteries :-p

Smart π My new scale takes regular triple A’s which came included. I just got the package from Amazon about an hour ago – anxious to unbox it and try it out!

I have 2 scales. A digital and a “doctor’s office” scale. When I want to really know my weight I get on the doctor scale. Whe I want to feel good about myself I get on the digital. π

How do you know which one is really accurate? lol That would drive me nuts π

Hopping on a new scale would make me nervous! If the new one shows you weigh more than the old one, you’re left wondering which one is right.

They seemed right about the same, except the digital is easier to read and gives partial pounds too.
I’ll get a true weigh today and report in. π

I’ve had a dial and a digital, and I don’t feel like I can trust either! I bought the digital because the dial was always off, like you mentioned. But this digital (Taylor) doesn’t seem much better. It can be up to 8 pounds different depending on where I place it or which foot I step on with first! Crazy.
And it’s always different from the scale at my local clinic. I’m sticking with it because at least then I’m comparing apples to apples, but I’m really suspicious because often when I weigh in, it shows the exact same number, down to the tenth, two or three times in a row.
Might have to check out yours – it’s a beauty, at least!

My new digital seems right on the mark. It’s close to my dial scale but easier to read and does tenths.
