I’ve been home for just over a week now, had an awesome holiday weekend, and am really getting back into my routine. As you know, I spent a long weekend at Diamondhead Resort on Fort Myers Beach the weekend before Christmas. It was a great way to unwind just before the holidays! 😉
I went with two girl friends, and Angie has written an awesome review of our stay on her blog at Newton’s Travels. I couldn’t agree with her more – the view was incredible, and the service at Diamondhead Beach Resort was second to none. As much as I’ve traveled, I have never been treated as good as we were at Diamondhead. Ever. I will definitely be going back, and recommending it to all my friends!
I spent a lot of my time relaxing on the (huge!) balcony off our suite, watching the sun rise and set and enjoying room service.
We had a beautiful beachfront view, with easy access to the beach – which was the softest, whitest sand I have ever felt between my toes! 😀
I did zero sight-seeing. My goal was to relax & unwind, and refuel on creative inspiration. It worked. I left with clarity, feeling refreshed, and ready to dive into new projects for the year ahead.
The food at the Diamondhead Beach Resort was fabulous!
There were two restaurants on-site, plus a lounge. Chloe’s on the main level, and Cabana’s – a beachfront bar & grill with outdoor seating. They had tons of low carb options on the menu too, which was nice. 😉
Here are just a few of their low carb meals:
Caesar Salad with fresh Grouper
Steak & Eggs for Breakfast
Salmon with Steamed Vegetables
(I should have taken the picture *before* I dug in – LOL)
This was one of several splurges on my trip, but OH SO GOOD. 😉 It’s Bacon & Turkey in a Spinach Wrap with Sweet Potato Fries. YUM. 🙂
Every single meal was perfect, and like I said – the service was second to none. The entire experience at Diamondhead Beach Resort was incredible! I believe Angie said they’ve won “best Fort Myers beach resort 8 years in a row”. I can certainly see why…
If you’re looking for a beach getaway, I highly recommend it!
