I got my April Keto Krate earlier this month and I’ve been enjoying the great low carb foods in this month’s box, but haven’t had a chance to sit down and share it with you like usual – until today! 🙂
♥ ♥ ♥ NEW: All Keto Krate boxes are now GLUTEN FREE ♥ ♥ ♥
I really love that they send low carb products I may not have tried or even heard of otherwise, and that they’re hand-picked for quality and carb count.
It’s usually specialty products, meaning the products are expensive to order individually, making the Keto Krate a really great value – with the highest quality foods to enjoy.
Plus fun new flavors to mix things up & cure your “food boredom.” 🙂
I’ve really enjoyed mixing things up with all these cool products lately! It’s like getting a big birthday surprise box every single month, lol. It’s so much fun!
You can see what was in the July and August, and September and October and November and December & January and February and March boxes.
You’ll discover A LOT of new low carb foods to try in ^ those lists!
In those 8 posts I gave you detailed price comparisons of each product in the box, and also gave you links where you could find the products individually. I’ll do the same for this box, because it’s FUN to discover new low carb foods & fresh options.
If you got the April Keto Krate, I look forward to hearing YOUR thoughts – what you’ve tried, what you liked or didn’t like.
If you didn’t get one, you can sign up today to make sure you get the next one in May… because they’ll be shipping out SOON and they always sell out FAST. 😉
The April Keto Krate: A Box Full of Low Carb Food Fun!
Each Keto Krate box comes with 6-9 full-sized low carb products. My last box had 7 cool new foods in it. This one has 8 brand new products to try!
I’m working with Keto Krate to help spread the word out about this awesome service, because I LOVE it. I can tell you firsthand they are super cool guys! Probably because they’re Canadian. 😉 Speaking of, they’re working on ways to be able to ship to Canada affordably. In exchange I get to try the products plus I earn a small one-time referral fee when you sign up. And I don’t get to dive into my box the minute it arrives and devour the chocolate, because I have to take photos & do product research to put together all these fun details for you!
Here are the 8 low carb products in this month’s Keto Krate box
I included the prices for each individual product as listed on Netrition (my favorite low carb store online!), Amazon, or their own website…
NUSH Organic Carrot Spice Cake ($2.99)
“Low-Carb, Low-Sugar, Gluten-Free, Organic, Cake.” ~ 3 net carbs
Netrition doesn’t carry this product but you can get them on Amazon in a 10-pack box for about $30 with free shipping. You can also buy them on NushFoods.com in a box of 12 for $35.88 ($2.99 each) plus free shipping.
This “cake” was really good. It had a good texture, maybe a little gritty here and there, but the flavor was spot on too. It went great with my morning coffee! 🙂
Raw Rev Glo Bar: Creamy Peanut Butter & Sea Salt ($1.99)
You can get these bars at Netrition for $21.00 for a box of 12 ($1.83 each) or on RawRev.com for the same price, but they want $7.91 shipping to my address, so it’s cheaper for me to add it to my next Netrition order.
These bars are gluten free, only 3 net carbs, Non-GMO & include organic and raw ingredients with omega-rich superfoods.
It’s a GREAT low carb bar: soft and chewy, and a great flavor – with no artificial sweetener at all. They have LOTS of flavors I want to try!
Coco Polo Hazelnut 39% Milk Chocolate Bar ($5.99)
This low carb chocolate bar is AMAZING!!! This is the second Coco Polo Bar I’ve had and they will totally rock your low carb socks. 😉
You can get them on Netrition for $4.30 each in a box of 10. They carry a variety of flavors. I recommend them all. 🙂 You can get them at CocoPolo.com too but it’s only 8 bars instead of 10 (PLUS $10.50 SHIPPING!), so Netrition is a much better deal.
You cannot even tell this is sugar free chocolate. You’ll LOVE it! ♥
The Pili Nuts were mine, btw – not from the April box. You can get them at EatPiliNuts.com (code LOWCARBTRAVELER all caps will get you a special discount)
The Gilded Nut: Habanero Heat Pistachios ($4.99)
I haven’t tried these yet, but they sound fabulous! You can only buy them in bulk. You can get them on Amazon for $46.25 + $12.20 shipping for a 12-pack.
Or they have a 4-pack of four different flavors for $20 + $11.10 shipping.
You can get a 6 pack case at GildedNut.com for $21 + $6.86 shipping (to my house) – so that seems like the cheapest option.
It’s a gluten free, GMO free, soy free, vegan product – but more than 5 net carbs for the package, and expensive.;)
Amarok 100% Premium Grass-Fed Beef Sticks – Spirit Fire/Jalapeno HOT ($4.99)
This product was really hard to find. It’s not yet available on their “AreYouSuperPowered .com” website (which is really corny, like a comic book -lol), and I did find it on Amazon but it’s not for sale there either… so I have no idea what the actual cost is, or the shipping rates.
Brooklyn Biltong, Original ($5.99)
This 2 ounce bag is $7.99 on Amazon with free shipping, or you can buy a 16 ounce bag on BrooklynBiltong.com for $34.99 + $4.50 shipping (to my address).
LC Foods Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds ($5.99)
These are 4 net carbs per serving (2 servings in the pack) and sweetened with Erythritol. They are out of stock at Netrition.
You can get a 6-pack on Amazon for $2.61 each + $8.50 shipping (24.75 total). You can get them for $2.50 on HoldTheCarbs.com + $7.25 shipping & thermal packaging to my address ($10.25 each).
I saved the most interesting product for last… 🙂
Zenify Zero Sugar Natural Stress Relief Drink ($2.29)
I should probably go drink this – now. 🙂 lol. It says “infused with L-theanine, the active antioxidant in green tea” and that it “promotes serotonin and dopamine” and “reduces stress without drowsiness.” Interesting!
It has 1 carb per can, and you can see places to buy/order it here: http://zenifydrinks.com/#find. On The Vitamin Shoppe it’s $21.99 for a 12-pack ($30.71 total with tax + shipping to my address).
The Coco Polo Hazelnut was my FAVORITE item by far. I really liked the Raw Rev Bar too – I definitely want to try those in all flavors.
The next thing I want to try is the Zenify drink. 🙂
Price Breakdown & Comparison
You have to order most of the items in bulk or by the box instead of individually, and from a variety of websites. Using the cheapest options, it would cost you $173.78 to purchase these products online on your own.
And that doesn’t include the “super hero stick” because I have no idea if you have to buy those in bulk or what the shipping would be…
That makes the Keto Krate a GREAT value at only $34.95! You can cancel anytime, or even order individual past Keto Boxes on their website too. They also include coupons & discount codes in every box, increasing the value even more.
It’s AWESOME to sample individual products at such a great price!

Good morning!
I loveee keto krate too
The chocolate bar was so good!
I have to say the nush and raw rev bars are heaven. I got a small addiction to both and decided as a result to give up low carb treats for a week. Finished the week yesterday and made pb2 peanut butter cookies last night. Icky…not good lol. Going to try again with almond butter or natural pb. I bought a box of nush cakes, my least fave is the lemon but I really enjoy them all. I also found a raw rev bar with dark chocolate. Omg good!!!!
I started looking for some products at local organic or health food stores and sometimes find some cool things:)
Lynn Terry says
That cracked hazelnut chocolate bar was the BEST!! π I really enjoyed this box – full of fun things to enjoy. I’m going to try more of the NUSH cakes too, and the RawRev bar flavors. It’s so nice to find new low carb foods to try. π
I’m ordering more of the Coco Polo hazelnut chocolate. The cheapest place I found them was on Netrition: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/cocopolo AND they are now offering FREE shipping on orders over $99 – Yay!

I loved the Nush bar!! I liked the “grittiness” which to me tasted like sugar crystals:-) and what made me really like the bar. I even ordered the mixed box (20% off coupon came too) and tried the lemon poppyseed which seemed to have a little lighter texture but had a real lemon/poppyseed taste to it. With a dash of whipped cream or even cream cake, it becomes even more decadent! I can’t wait to try the next two. I will save them when I am craving a sweet treat as they are pricey but definitely they do not have that cooling effect of Swerve etc.
Zennify also tastes great!! No fake sugar aftertaste. One of my faves for sure. Will probably go buy some at the Vitamin Shoppe.
Marco Polo is awesome and tastes like a regular chocolate bar!! Love hazelnuts so that was a double bonus. I just eat a square at a time. They are up there with Lily’s double chocolate/cherry little bars.
I loved Gilded Nuts but “warning” is they are very spicy so if you don’t like things “hot” you might not enjoy these. I would buy them again but they are pricey indeed.
I have not tried the Bilton or jerk stick things yet so can’t comment on those yet. I am not a huge fan but will try them soon enough or save them for a long airplane ride. That RawRev treat did not melt my butter. I think it was a texture thing for me. I would try again however. You just never know why some things really appeal …like for me the Nush bars….which were my winner with Zennify and Marco Polo right in there…. and the Gilded Nuts. I just wish they all were not so expensive!
Lynn Terry says
That’s what I love most about getting the Keto Krate – because you get high priced specialty foods SO cheap. π There’s no way I could order all that stuff individually, lol.
I’m SO glad you shared your thoughts on the Zenify drink, because I haven’t tried mine yet – and now I’m going to. π

Hi Lynn, In my April box, I tried:
Nush carrot cake – taste was good, textuer was gritty
Guilded Nut Pistachios – fresh tasting, great flavor & not too hot, good size nut – love them
Brooklyn Bilitong – beef jerky was a little too dry foΕ me, flavor okay
Raw Rev peanut butter bar – satisfyingly delicious, very mildly sweet, love
Superpowerd beef sticks – good taste, nice chew, love
Coco Polo- creamy, delicious, no artificial sweetness – love
Zenify drink- tried it but not a fan of sweet drinks, but others might like
Lynn Terry says
My favorite was the Coco Polo bar too. I’m off to order more of those, that was SO great! I let a sugar/carb-eating friend try a square and she couldn’t even tell the difference between “real chocolate” (with real sugar I mean). They really nailed that one!!
I didn’t eat my pistachios because my mouth welps with spicy foods, so I gave them to a friend – and they LOVED them.
Sally M says
Just read Leslie’s post and am wondering if people got different types of Gilded Pistachios. Mine were Habanero #3 I believe and they were very hot and I like very spicy things?? Or maybe we just have different tastebuds lol. Maybe I need revisit Raw Rev? Sometimes I think it ends up being a texture thing.
Leslie Baer says
Hi…Leslie here…I did have habanero nuts…I guess I was trying to say that although they were spicy, they were not toooo hot…thanks for bringing that up
Sally M says
Got ya!! I was surprised by how hot they were and maybe on low carb I am not eating so many spicy things, like my favorite Thai and Chinese foods, along with Mexican, that my taste buds are off. But that said habaneros are very hot lol.

I think we’re going to order a May box. I’m gluten free, husband is low carb and his nutritionist recommended he keep gluten free for awhile as well. He’s been looking for some new snack foods that he can keep in his desk drawer at work (to make sure he stays away from the vending machine), so I think this will be a fun thing to get.
Lynn Terry says
It really is fun, and perfect for you both now that they’ve gone gluten free! π It’s A LOT cheaper than trying to order individual things, and you always get something new & cool to try. It’s like getting a birthday surprise box – every month. π I can’t wait to see what we get in May. They start shipping on Tuesday!
