When everything else in your life feels like itโs spinning out of control, hold on to the one thing you CAN control. Donโt let your health and your goals become of the of the things that gets sucked into the madness of life. Staying focused on at least one thing that is important to you (yourself!) will keep you grounded when it feels like the bottom is falling out from under youโฆ
Yesterday I decided to eat out. It made for an easy day, and I needed that. Meals were one less thing to worry about!
I love that you can eat low carb practically anywhere. And I really love take-out, or going out to eat, for the lack of dishes and kitchen mess. ๐
I decided to get take-out from Applebeeโs because itโs good food (real food) and they have carside-to-go service, which makes it a super easy option.
I discovered my local Applebeeโs opens at 10:45am too, which is good to know! ๐ Thatโs great for those days Iโm not in a breakfast mood and want to grab an early lunch, and get something convenient but healthyโฆ

Day 55: Saturdayโs Low Carb Meals
I just had coffee in the morning, and a mozzarella cheese stick. Then I had an early lunch from Applebeeโs. I decided to use up my $20 gift card and just order enough to last the day. I scanned over the Applebeeโs Nutrition Facts for options and ideas.
Thatโs what I always do, by the way. When Iโm going to eat out, I look over the menu and nutrition facts online before I go and make my decisions in advance. It makes it easier if you know what youโre going to have when you get there. ๐
I ended up getting โmy usualโ though: a Grilled Salmon Caesar Salad. I also added a side of โloaded broccoliโ (steamed broccoli with butter, sour cream & cheese).
I had about half the salmon and a few bites of the salad for lunch. I didnโt have much of an appetite. I saved the loaded broccoli for later:
I heated up the broccoli in the early evening, along with the toppings. That was delicious, and hit the spot! ๐
I finally got hungry late last night and finished the salmon & salad โ along with a few pecans and a mozzarella string cheeseโฆ

While I was browsing the Applebeeโs menu I noticed they had Chili in the list of soups, and it was only 11 net carbs. Unfortunately my Applebeeโs doesnโt have this on the menuโฆ but from what I found researching it, it doesnโt appear to have any beans in it! I wonder what the total carb count would be without all the toppings (jalapenos, onions & cheese). Have you tried it??

My weight is back down to 146.4 pounds.
I have my โAnnual Low Carb Road Tripโ coming up. I leave on Friday morning, or maybe Thursday night โ I havenโt decided yet. This is a trip I make every year to Okaloosa Island (from Tennessee), and itโs always a lot of fun to enjoy all the low carb foods along the way and share them with you here! ๐
I have no idea what Iโll pack, given everything I own is already falling off of me โ thanks to this low carb challenge ๐ lol. Iโm pretty sure Iโll lose another pound or three before I leave too. Iโll figure something out, or find some older clothes in the back of my closet that will workโฆ

Did the Salmon Ceasar salad come from Applebys? or Panera Bread? Your blog says Applebys, but your tracking says Panera bread? We have both here and that sounds good for lunch today..
It came from Applebeeโs. I tried several entries to try to get close to correct macros and nutrition data for just the salmon & caesar salad (without croutons) and that entry seemed the closest.
Itโs not on the menu. I have to order โthe caesar salad with grilled salmon instead of chicken, with no croutons pleaseโ ๐

Inasmuch as I go to Applebeeโs or Chiliโs restaurants every Monday with my gal pal, it requires that I walk in with some menu knowledge ahead of time. I asked for the chili at Applebeeโs and they said they didnโt make it. Any additional tips you could provide for these two restaurants is greatly appreciated.
I started my diet on September 13, 2017 and today October 2, 2017 I has lost close to eight pounds. I am on my way!!!!! Thanks and hugs.
