Here is my Low Carb Food Diary for Day 13 of the “Get Lean For Summer!” 90 Day Low Carb Challenge. It’s not too late to join us if you haven’t already. 🙂
Yesterday was all take-out meals, which made for a super easy day.
Day 13: Saturday’s Low Carb Meals
My low carb breakfast was take-out from a little local spot: grilled tenderloin & 3 fried eggs. Eggs are .4 carbs each, so this entire meal was only 1.2 carbs.
When I got breakfast, I also asked for 2 hamburger patties to eat later for lunch.
I decided to dress them up a bit. I found two of these Sonoma Jacks Parmesan Peppercorn Cheese Wedges in the refrigerator, and decided to melt those over my burgers. They’re delicious to dip your almonds & pecans in too. 🙂
It was actually quite good! I dipped in Duke’s Mayo. 🙂
Here’s my MyFitnessPal Diary for Saturday:
Here’s how & what I track, and how I get Net Carbs in MyFitnessPal.
Calories: 1387
Net Carbs: 14
Total Carbs: 15
Protein: 121 Grams
Macro Ratios: 59% Fat, 37% Protein
Water: 32 ounces
My protein was high and my fat was low yesterday, but some days the macros just don’t work out perfectly. Especially when I’m being lazy, lol. I don’t sweat it, given how rare that is.
I didn’t get a picture of my dinner, but I had a Low Carb Thickburger from Hardee’s (plain), which was zero carbs.
I also had half a beer with a friend, and then later I ate a few strawberries dipped in Reddi-wip (whipped topping made with real cream).
I’m not going to weigh again until tomorrow (Monday morning), so watch for that in my next Food Diary. 🙂 I’m anxious to see if my scales FINALLY move. And if they don’t… I have a plan. 😛
How did your weekend go?

HI Lynn, thanks for your updates, it really inspires me to continue with my low carb.
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Shireen – I’m really glad to hear that! π When did you start eating low carb? I would love to hear how it’s going for you.
Justine says
I made it through Saturday woohoo! I was even out at my sons baseball game and I refrained from the concession stand.
My meals saturday were:
B: bpc
L: ham and cheese rollups, 1 serving of almonds
D: chicken alfredo w/o noodles w/mushrooms (I made the sauce from butter, hwc, & parmesean) it was delicious
S: pepperoni, 1oz colby jack cheese, 1 sf Russell stover pecan delights, homemade sf iced coffee
I drank about 50oz of water and did get a mini workout from chasing my little ones around the baseball field lol.
Justine says
Forgot to mention my net carbs were 14 and my fat was 84%
Lynn Terry says
Kudos for beating those weekend temptations, Justine! π Did you mention last week that you wanted to start exercising more? (I think that was you!) I definitely need to up my game on the exercise, and start getting SERIOUS about my workouts. That’s my goal this week. π *cheers*
Justine says
Yeah that was me. I definitely need to work out more. I have a gazillion workout dvds so I really have no excuse, I have to make time to do it. With having 2 little ones at home finding time for anything is difficult but I’m determined to do so. And once I stay on track with my exercising I’ll have no problems sticking to it.
Lynn Terry says
Try doing shorter workouts with higher impact. Like muscle toning, weights, or high impact workouts if you have those. I find that MUCH easier than trying to do an hour of cardio π and much more effective!
Justine says
I’ll definitely have to try that. Thanks!
Diane Balding says
Do you ever use Atkins products…. their Protein shakes, candy, etc?
Lynn Terry says
Hi Diane,
Sometimes I get the Peanut Butter Granola Atkins bars. I have tried their newer Endulge pecan clusters and those are great! So my answer is: every now and then if I’m craving “junk food” like bars & candy. π Otherwise I try to stick to real food with as few ingredients as possible.

I am now under my Vegas Weight…..it continues to move, however I just realized Wednesday I am 1 month into LCHF, and only going to be down 11 lbs. I see no visual difference. But I am going to try to be patient. This next month is huge, as I should then be fat adapted, with no 4 days break….I love reading your blog!
Lynn Terry says
Hi JoAnn – thank you!! π
The patience part is hard, I know. Keep in mind you were off track those few days over that month too, so the month ahead should go much smoother! π
Rhonda Halverson says
I am back starting today, you so inspire me. I have failed so long and am so confused but I know you helped me before. I just had to make my mind up, it helped that a friend, to my face, stated, Wow you really have gained weight. Really??? I cried all night. Now I feel so self conscious. So today, I stand up and I do this. Thank you Terry!
Lynn Terry says
I know exactly how that feels, Rhonda. I’m really sorry you spent a night crying, but at least it was the turning point that made you want to take control of your health again. You’ll be SO glad you did this now, sooner rather than later. π Welcome back!
If you have any questions, let me know. Keep it super simple to start: 20 net carbs max, 70% fat minimum.

I’m out of town and was wondering if there is a site or app to help me choose low carb restaurant foods? I went to Chick fil A last night and ordered a grilled chicken salad but I wasn’t sure what kind of dressing so I ate it without any.
Lynn Terry says
Hi Lidjea,
Not that I know of – but I look up the nutrition facts for a restaurant I’m going to go to and choose something before I go. I find that helps A LOT. π
Lidjea says
Good tip! Thank you!
