Wow. Just wow! 🙂 I woke up this morning weighing 149.6 pounds. This has been my goal for quite awhile now, and it feels SO amazing to be back in the 140’s – for the first time in almost 5 years!! 🙂
That only took me FOREVER – lol. 😛
I almost caved last night too… Seriously. I’ll share yesterday’s Low Carb Food Diary with you. You’ll see. (lol) 😉
I’m so glad I didn’t! Because THIS was amazing to wake up to this morning!!
Now comes the fun part of maintaining my weight loss, and continuing to lose – and TONING. Because omg, my arms look 10 years older than I do. 😛 I am NOT kidding. They wave at people… even when I don’t! 😐
Here is what I ate yesterday, along with my struggle (my “almost cheat!”), and you can also view my last Low Carb Diary: 3 Days of EASY Meals.
Sunday’s Low Carb Meals & Macros
My favorite low carb breakfast! 🙂 This time it’s 1/4 cup Daisy brand cottage cheese + 3/4 cup crushed pecans + 2 diced strawberries + 10 grams (.35oz) of blueberries.
6 net carbs and 88% healthy fats
I stir it all together like “low carb cereal”. This whole thing started because I really missed Special K Fruit & Yogurt cereal. I would even go off plan sometimes just to have it! So I came up with these combos to stay on track. 🙂
Yesterday was a PJs & leftovers kinda day. It’s FREEZING here in Tennessee this week, so the danes and I stayed in and ate at home. You might remember I’d ordered a second take-out meal when I went out to dinner the night before…
The funny thing is, I dropped this food – and my camera too – trying to take this picture by myself. 😛 I ate it anyway, lol. Slim did snag one of the broccoli’s, but otherwise it was a good save! 🙂 haha…
My low carb leftovers: grilled chicken with mozzarella & mushrooms and roasted broccoli. Yum! It was just as good leftover as it was at the restaurant!
Which brings us to dinner…
I was struggling last night. I don’t know why. You know how it is – it just hits you sometimes. 😛 *sigh*
The text exchange with my friend that you see there… that went on for like 20 minutes, lol. She did NOT let up. 😛
If I had not reached out to her, I probably would have snapped and ate junk food. Ack! And then I would NOT have weighed under 150 this morning!
So I just *sigh* grabbed the dry roasted sunflower seeds and ate those. There was exactly 1/4 cup left in the jar, so that’s what I ate.
Then I went straight to bed and pulled the covers over my head. Yes, slightly hungry still, but refusing to give in!
Here’s my MyFitnessPal Food Diary for the entire day:
Calories: 1210
Net Carbs: 23
Total Carbs: 38
Protein: 56 grams
Fat/Protein Ratio: 74% Fat / 18% Protein
Water: 24 ounces
Current Weight: 149.6 pounds
See: My Weight Loss Journey
Here’s How I Get Net Carbs in MyFitnessPal
Here’s how I track, what I track, and why: Macronutrients & Tracking. Like everything else, I keep it super simple.
I could not be happier today. Finally back in the 140’s!!! Wow. 🙂 That feels GOOD. It was a serious struggle, and I really wanted to achieve this before New Year’s – and again before my Vegas Trip – but hey, 3 weeks late ain’t bad. 😉
Of course now I’m dangerously close to being “skinny fat” (lol), so I’ll continue eating super healthy… and also TONE THIS BODY! I’m going to do it cheap, and at home, no gym or personal trainer, so stay tuned because I’ll share all the fun ways I get my workouts in… and you can follow along & join me!
I’m off to take a picture of my body (ick!), because I aim to have some amazing before & after “toning” pictures to share with you – soon. 🙂
Best,
Lynn Terry,

Great job! I’ve been doing a strength training program called stronglift 5×5. I love it and am building up some great muscles! If you google it he has a website that explains it all. I started out just using Dumbbells but am now using an Olympic barbell set.

Congrats Lynn. Your post made me laugh and get out of my “funky” mood! The food you get to go always looks so delicious. You must have some great restaurants to choose from because my meals NEVER look like that, I need to tone up too so I will be following your progress.
Lynn Terry says
I’m glad, Judy! π π I’ve been in a funky mood on and off for weeks – so that made my day that I helped yours!
I actually live in a middle-of-nowhere tiny agricultural town with very few restaurants. I have to get super creative because that meal came from an Italian place, and the other place I go to a lot is Greek/Italian. π
Kathy says
Yay!!! You did it! That is my goal too! I have been on a stall and boy does it get discouraging when you are trying to do right! But…I am hanging in there because I WILL get there! Thank you so much for sharing your ups and downs with us!!
Lynn Terry says
Those stalls are the pits! π This really helps though: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/6064/3-ingredients-rule/ Try that, it’s a great stall breaker. π

Brenda Poe Flack says
Love it! Congratulations! The brand on front of the bottle cracked me up! “Best Choice” when you are struggling to stay on track. π
Lynn Terry says
No kidding right, Brenda? π This is a common brand at my little local grocery store (I like to buy local). It’s the same brand as my pecans (1 net carb per 1/4 cup) and the frozen berries I get are this Best Choice brand too…
Anna Laws says
Congrats! That’s awesome. So proud of you and THANK YOU for being such an inspiration to this Tennesseean

LOL Rita – It’s my blog. If you don’t like pictures of me on it, you don’t have to read it. π
Cindi says
Lynn, I don’t know what Rita’s problem is, but I love your selfies and all the pics of your food. Especially love the pics with your Danes. Please keep ’em coming!
Susan says
Congratulations! You are such an inspiration. Thank you for sharing the truth. I struggled yesterday and wasn’t as successful, but I’m new to this lifestyle and have a LOT left to learn. Your blog posts are very encouraging and I’m learning so much from your posts. Thanks!
Patty says
That is awesome! So happy for you! You’re an inspiration to us all!
Keep us posted on your at home work out plan. I don’t care for gyms either! I do have a stationary bike ” I need to start using again” , yoga weekly at the rec center and need to start doing arm excercises too so I can lift my new paddle board this spring and decrease my bat wings. I’m turning 50 this year and my constant changing hormones and water retention associated make weighing myself frustrating ugh. The highs and lows! I’m going to start making your breakfast cereal.
You must feel so excited what motivation!
