Jo turned me on to these beautiful sugar free, low carb chocolate bars when we were discussing our favorite products awhile back. I decided to order two different kinds to test them out: the Milk Chocolate Crisp and the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter bars.
They come in a box of 5 chocolate bars, and this is the size:
That’s my “Plum Fitbit” you see on my wrist. 😉
I’m not a big fan of Stevia, or haven’t been when I tried other products with Stevia in the past, but these ChocoRite bars are GREAT!
I didn’t have high expectations, but I ended up being really impressed with them. The “Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter” bar is okay, not bad but not my personal favorite.
But I LOVE the Milk Chocolate Crisp bars!!
I love chocolate and peanut butter together though, so this is how I enjoy mine:
🙂
YUM.
They are only 2 Net Carbs for a whole chocolate bar, so they fit in very well with the low carb diet, and would also make a nice treat for diabetics.
They are gluten free, kosher and contain NO maltitol.
Have you tried the ChocoRite brand sugar free chocolate bars? Or what are YOUR favorite low carb chocolate products? Let us know! 🙂

I love all of the different varieties of Russell Stover sugar free candies. My favorite are the pecan delights!!! Only 2 net carbs for 2 pieces. Total carbs: 19 g
dietary fiber: 2 g
sugar alcohol: 15g
So when you subtract the fiber and sugar alcohol you end up with only 2 net carbs.

Those Pecan Delights are delicious! I love those too. π Atkins has some that are also really good – and don’t upset my stomach as much.

Oh yay! I’m so glad you like them! It was such a treat to find a good tasting chocolate without malitol. I’m stocking up, lol. π Though, I can’t see going through Halloween without Reeses peanut butter cups, so I’ll suffer with the sugar free malitol filled ones, oh the price we pay. π
I just tried the ‘impastable’ pasta from ThinSlim Foods with some Rao’s & it was pretty good! So was their pizza crust.

Thank you for the recommendation, Jo – I really enjoyed the ChocoRite chocolate bars! π YUM…

I’m just curious how you were able to get the carb count on the wings that your ordered from Dominos? Also I realize you say you don’t cook much but what will you do for Christmas? I am use to baking a lot of cookies and making homemade candies and realize that I probably eat the biggest percent of them but I don’t think my family will accept my not making all of the traditional goodies and yet I know for sure that I don’t think I’ll be able to resist. I wish we could have a group discussion of good Holiday recipes and what others plan to do to make it through the holidays without falling off the wagon. Another question in your cereal that you rely on and love, do you use frozen blueberries and strawberries, or fresh. I tried it but I guess I’m not fond of cottage cheese so I can’t say it hit the spot but I may try again with the chunky Musli. I really enjoy you sharing your online orders; please continue to do so. I’m getting ready to order from Netrition and because of your evaluation of the Chocolate Bars I will now be sure to add them to my list. Is there anything else that you highly recommend? I’m ordering the pancake mix? Which one is your favorite. I’m also ordering the bread; I think rye and the Everything, and the low carb taco shells. What brand and flavor is your favorite jam that you talk about? All these reviews help to spend wisely and not waste dollars.

Hi Meri π
For the Domino’s nutrition facts, I looked those up online before I placed my order. I just googled “dominos nutrition facts” (or find them at their website): https://cache.dominos.com/olo/3_31_4/assets/build/market/US/_en/pdf/DominosNutritionGuide.pdf … then I searched MyFitnessPal and found an entry that was accurate (matched the nutrition facts).
For the holidays the children and I usually do non-traditional things because it’s just the three of us – I have a son and daughter, but no other extended family. One year we flew to Vegas for Christmas. One year we did a 4-day weekend in Chattanooga for Thanksgiving and had dinner on the Southern Belle River Boat. Sometimes we’ll do a holiday at home and I make crab legs and steamed broccoli. π
For this holiday… what if you pass the torch? Assuming your baking/candies are gifts for friends & relatives, what about a nice recipe box with all of your usual holiday recipes as a gift instead? π That could be fun & creative!
I do use frozen berries. The blueberries I hand picked myself over the summer, then froze immediately. Otherwise I buy frozen berries with the berries being the ONLY ingredient. I find they don’t go bad on me before I can use them all up that way, plus they are much easier to dice up while slightly frozen. π
Instead of cottage cheese you might try a low carb yogurt?
The pancake/waffle mix is GREAT! This is the post with all the details: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/14046/low-carb-pancakes/ The mix I use has great ingredients, and I highly recommend it. I get it on Netrition here: http://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?pid=440-0001&aid=3558
This is the sugar free syrup I use and love:
http://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?pid=518-0007&aid=3558
Now I want pancakes for breakfast. π lol
I like the Everything Bread and Everything Bagels the best:
http://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?pid=904-0008&aid=3558
And the Nature’s Hollow Sugar Free Mountain Berry Preserves are my absolute favorite! I get that here: http://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?pid=518-0005&aid=3558
Netrition has a low flat rate shipping no matter how much you order, so that helps. And I don’t get the thermal packaging or expedited shipping, even when I order the bread. I’ve tried it both ways and it comes just fine without the extra expense.
Oh, and if you like BBQ sauce, Guy’s is the best! Here’s that link:
