I’ll give you a list of all the things I mentioned in the (goofy/chatty) video in case you want to check those out yourself. You can see my original Kitchen Wishlist here.
Here are the products / kitchen gadgets mentioned in the video:
I think that’s everything…
Oh – and here’s the microfiber duster by OXO I mentioned too. I *LOVE* both of them!!
My new housekeeper started last week so I asked her (professional) opinion on them. She was able to clean off the (seriously dusty) ceiling fan in my bedroom… without any dust falling onto my bed. 🙂 Very cool.
I’d love to hear what you can’t live without in your own kitchen. What’s your favorite tool or gadget?
~ Lynn

Congratulations!!! Gives me hope that someday I’ll find someone!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Lisa! π After more than a decade, I had pretty much given up – and actually started planning my life as a single woman, with plans to travel and write books and such. Ricky is amazing though, I’m so glad we met. π He’s perfect for me! And the great thing: with him, I can still travel & write and do all of the things in life that I want and planned to do anyway. π
There’s ALWAYS hope! *cheers*

It was almost the same for me, except I had a teenager still living at home. I was single for almost 10 years before I finally found the perfect man, we got married when I was 40! I’m now 48 and he’s STILL wonderful! Congrats!
Lynn Terry says
That makes me smile, Nancy. π Congratulations!!
Alicia says
Congratulations! What great news. So happy for you and Rick and wish you all the best. You make a cute little couple π
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Alicia! π

Looks like you had tons of fun shopping! As someone else who doesn’t cook much, the best thing you can get for your kitchen is someone ELSE who enjoys it!! (And you’ve got that now for a lifetime!!). π
Looking forward to doing the kitchen organizing this weekend. I’ve gone from a 4-6 person house to just me. I’ve got more crap in there than I could ever possibly use (except for holidays when they all come by), and can definitely use a “sorting through” of sorts to narrow it down to the things I’m actually using day-to-day! π
Lynn Terry says
lol Debi, that is SO true! hahaha
I’m looking forward to the Kitchen Organization this weekend too. I need things to be more HANDY if I’m going to be in there trying to cook. π Just finding this utensil, or the lid to that – at the moment, it’s a royal pain. So I just order take-out… π
Diana says
Aww…thats so AWESOME!!! Ya’ll are so sweet together :)) Congratulations!!!!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Diana π He treats me like a queen!!
Deea says
Congratulations on your engagement!! I loved the video. I just re-organized my kitchen but will be checking in to see what you come up with. Love following along with you daily. Oh and by the way did I mention that I Love Daisy brand cottage cheese, it really is the best out there!! βΊ
Lynn Terry says
Thanks! And that is *awesome*. Not only does Daisy Brand taste better (and from an OCD person, the curds are all the same size, lol) but it’s the ONLY brand on the entire shelf I’ve found… with only 3 (real) ingredients. π
Mary says
Congratulations to you and Rick on your engagement!
I love the idea of organizing our kitchens together! One of the things I admire about you the most is that you are real! I loved the video and all of the new kitchen gadgets you have. It seems to make cleaning/ organizing more fun when you have new stuff to put when you get finished π
Lynn Terry says
I thought so too, Mary. π I figured shopping for a few new things would make the kitchen itself more fun as well, haha – and so far, it’s working!
I’m really looking forward to the Kitchen Organization event. I plan to tear mine apart, turn it inside out, and put it all back together… in some kind of way that makes sense. π See you there!!
Michele says
I just hope I can get my drawers open!
Lynn Terry says
lol Michelle! Mine are all a mess. π I’m ready to get my kitchen in order though! I’m glad we’re all doing this together. π
Lynn Kelly says
Congrats to you and Ricky. Love the Avocado cutter. Need to get one of those. I have bamboo cutting boards and love them. Have a good time getting your kitchen in order and cooking with Ricky.
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Lynn. π I love the avocado cutter too – such a practical tool!
Tammy says
Wow, awesome stuff! Congrats to you both! Did you get your office completed yet? So happy for you! β€οΈ
Lynn Terry says
Thanks, Tammy. π I’m still working on the office too. The whole house is a huge work in progress (or MESS in progress, as I like to call it – lol). It’s all coming together SO nice though. Which feels AWESOME. π
Chris says
My favorite kitchen tool or gadget? That’s easy!! The coffee pot… duh. LOL. π
Lynn Terry says
Ha! Mine too – and it’s definitely the most used thing in my kitchen. Besides my 1/3 and 1/4 measuring cups. π lol
Rebecca says
You’re SO funny! “What are these called, oh,Spatula’s”. LOL You are new to the kitchen aren’t you! And you spent the whole time trying to convince yourself that you are going to cook in the kitchen. LOL! Glad I’m not the only one!
Nancy Lewis says
My husband calls spatula’s “egg turners”, I’m like-THEY TURN MORE THAN EGGS. Then recently I was at a wedding shower with my sister-in-law who’s married to my husband’s brother & I asked her by holding one up without calling it anything & she confirmed her husband calls them egg turners too! How weird! I know I live in KY….but please people! LOL
Lynn Terry says
LOL I am – I really am – going to cook. π haha. I call it “science experiments” instead of recipes. π
I’m not home a lot usually, but I have been this summer. And I’m sure I’ll be home a bit more once Ricky moves in – but we travel together quite a bit too. I’ll be back “on the road” soon, starting with a week in Vancouver starting week after next. π Yay!
Lynn Terry says
LOL Nancy! I don’t feel so bad now. π I do call real spatulas … spatulas. But the rubber spatulas – those are for cleaning the sides out of bowls when you’re working with batter or something, right? Are there any other uses for those??
