Don’t hate me.
That, my friends, is low carb bread. Garlic cheesebread actually – and the entire plate, including the caesar dressing dip, is only 7 net carbs!
This is my mom’s secret unpublished recipe, and I may just be able to talk her into letting me share it.
This is actually half a batch. She suggested I make a quarter batch, but after not eating bread for 2+ months… well, double that sounded pretty good.
LOL (one of these days I will learn to listen to my mother!)
I couldn’t finish it though. It’s amazing how you stop overeating automatically (magically??) when you cut out bad carbs. Or at least, that’s been MY experience.
All said and done, just over half eaten and enjoyed (!), I consumed approximately 4 net carbs. You can’t beat that!
What a nice little treat as a midnight snack while working late in my home office tonight. 😀
Low carb bread. Who’da thunk it?! Yum…
If I get permission to share Mom’s Secret Recipe for low carb bread – and specifically the garlic cheesebread! – it will probably not be published publicly online.
You can subscribe by email at the top right of the page if you’d like to be receive the recipe when it’s released.
Update: the Low Carb Bread Recipe is now available 😀
I look forward to hearing what YOU think of it!
(Did I mention it only took about 15 minutes to make & bake??)
Mom says
these are also soy and gluten free. The dough keeps well in the fridge so you can bake a couple whenever you want hot “bread”

Thank you so much for this fabulous recipe!!
I ate the leftovers this morning for breakfast. Just left them out on the counter all night – and I was surprised they weren’t hard OR soggy. They were great cold!! Definitely better hot out of the oven, but they don’t get yucky like normal breadsticks… Amazing!
Lynn Terry says
You’re the best, Mom – can’t wait to try your low-carb peanut butter cookies!!
Lynn Terry says
Thanks Missy π
Lucky you indeed, nice neighbor! I have a friend that makes homemade breads, but it always looks like SUCH a process. This recipe was quick & easy – literally 15 minutes from crave-to-done! π
Missy says
There’s nothing like homemade bread, a neighbor friend of mine makes homemade bread all the time, and (lucky for me) he brings some over. Needless to say, I love his visits. lol.
Congrats on the bread. (and the site!)
Cheers,
Missy

What an evil way to get email subscribers!
Lynn Terry says
LOL Graham – We are still experimenting with variations of the recipe, and it IS my mother’s own unpublished unique recipe… but I will definitely keep you posted if it gets published either privately or publicly, with an email. π
Graham Lutz says
…It’s working, though, I’m in.

Lynn,
I was wondering if I would be able to make these gluten-free when I saw the picture and read the article. Then I saw your mom’s comment and got really excited. I hope she says yes and lets you give out her recipe, because I’m dying to try it. It looks so yummy. π
Lynn Terry says
They are fabulous – my new favorite low carb treat to make at home. Especially nice when you’re wanting to curl up with a comfort food (without calling pizza hut – lol).
Loretta says
They’re gluten free!?! I think I love you Lynn’s mom. If we all make the “please mom” face maybe she’ll share the recipe π
Lynn Terry says
I’ll send it out via email to those on the mailing list – as long as everyone promises NOT to publish it π
Megan says
What if I subscribed just now ? is it too late to get the recipe? thanks, megan
Lynn Terry says
No, I haven’t sent it out yet π

July 4th weekend and I’m on board with the low carb journey, Lynn. Started Adkins briefly probably 17-18 years ago and hadn’t given it much thought until I saw your super results. Tell ‘Mom’, we’d LOVE to have the recipe – can’t wait! (will not publish, I promise!) Please, please, pretty please? If we’re getting these website posts, then we’re on the list, right? Happy 4th everyone!
Lynn Terry says
Right π I’m actually going to publish it on the site next week – and I”ll send out an email with the download link!
Great weekend to be on board. You can eat all the hot dogs & hamburgers & deviled eggs you want! Minus the buns of course. π

I would pay for the cheese bread recipe. Yummy! My Doctor probably would too! π She’s always telling me to cut back on the carbs and eat more protein. I’m going to sign up for the emails and Mom, please share!
Lynn, my Doctor told me to get the “G. I. Diet” book. It’s the glycemic index diet. She tells me to eat scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast–every day. I think I will have to follow this blog so my bloodwork results will make her happy! LOL I am getting ready to pin down about 15 lbs. Thanks for your research on these recipes.
Lynn Terry says
