You’ve undoubtedly heard the scandal over Kate Middleton’s Nude Photos by now. It’s been quite the topic around the web this week!
I’ll leave that bit alone, but I did want to say…
Man, she looks fabulous! 😀
Curious how she achieved such an enviable figure, I did a little research (a handy dandy tool called Google, in case you haven’t heard of it *wink*). And by the way, this is the best before and after picture I could come up with for Kate Middleton…
I happen to think she looks gorgeous in both photos, if not a little TOO thin on the left…
Like I said, I’m not touching the topic of the Kate Middleton Nude Photo scandal (poor lady), but I did think it noteworthy to mention that she allegedly used the Dukan Diet to lose weight prior to her wedding. The Dukan Diet, by the way, is supposed to be the French version of the Atkins Diet.
I haven’t studied Kate Middleton’s diet (Dukan), though I have heard of it, so I decided to check it out – just out of curiosity. Some articles across the web call it unsafe and unscientifically proven, and even unhealthy. But of course we get a lot of flack over the low carb diet as well. But the fact is, it works!
And it obviously worked VERY WELL for Kate Middleton. 😉
According to the book, The Dukan Diet: 2 Steps to Lose the Weight, 2 Steps to Keep It Off Forever, it’s a four-phase regime that “rejects counting calories and promises permanent weight loss while allowing adherents to eat as much as they like.”
I do love to eat. 😀 That’s actually why I chose the low carb diet to lose weight – because you don’t have to count calories or watch portions, and you can eat as much of the right foods that you please!
It would be interesting to compare Kate Middleton’s diet to Atkins, or basic low carb eating. I don’t have any real interest in reading the book, but if you have – I would be curious to hear what you think.
More than anything I found it inspiring. Not the Nude Photos or the scandal, lol, but how fabulous she looked in her skimpies. I could only hope if I ever got caught out vacationing topless – or in a bathing suit even (ha!) – that I would look as great as she does!
And on that note, I better get back to the bacon… 😉

I tried the Dukan Diet before you taught me about your method of Atkins, Lynn.
The only thing I found really difficult with it was that it also retricted fat (from what I recall – it has been a few years). I just remember eating a lot of fat free cottage cheese – which got old. And, not being able to have milk or cream in my coffee.
Then, a few months later, I saw you eating all kinds of lucious foods and wanted to glean your wisdom. Which you shared, thank God. I do find it easier to stick with your method of counting net carbs than I did Dukan.
That’s my two cents, anyway. I can stick with counting net carbs. I can not eat low fat or I tend to be hungry all the time.
Looking forward to hearing the other opinions.

PS. Kate looks amazing, though. Maybe I could give up my cream to look like that. Or not. 😀

I’d rather eat my high fat (low carb) diet – and keep my curves, lol. I think she looks TOO skinny in some of her photos! 😛

Kate Middleton’s diet drew me right in! 🙂 I agree that Kate looks too thin on the photo on the left – way too gaunt for my taste.
Like Nicole says, I’ve heard that the diet is too restrictive. And it’s definitely unhealthy if you eat too little fat…

I agree. Good fat is actually VERY healthy for you. I love eating low carb – and find it super healthy. Especially compared to how I was eating before!
