I didn’t see that the granola was on sale, just your discount.
Lynn Terry says
Hi Janet π The granola was on sale until 3am eastern this morning. After the sale ended I removed that part – and also added/updated the other sales as they’ve been announced.
It’s still 10% off with my LOWCARBTRAVELER discount code, which is already coded into this link: http://lollislowcarbgranola.com/lowcarbtraveler but it was an additional 10% off yesterday (only $1.50 difference).
I sent the notice out by email about 14 hours before the sale ended. Are you on the email list? I try to catch the sales as quick as I can so everyone has a chance to see them. π

Lynn, I was very excited to try the FBomb MCT Oil in the single serve pack. I ordered right away and got the discount. The day after they arrived I put one packet in my shake. Having used MCT Oils frequently I was expecting great things because of your review on this product. I have never experienced such stomach problems after taking this particular MCT Oil. For 4/5 hours it was terrible! But looking back now the packet says 30 grams of fat. I think that is a lot for one serving. Since I have 9 more packets I’m going to try using less of each pkt per serving. It just won’t be as convenient as I hoped for when using for traveling.
Lynn Terry says
Hi Diana,
You mentioned you use MCT Oils frequently. How much do you normally use at a time, and which blends/brands have you used?
I did mention you’re meant to start out with one TSP and work your way up gradually. I can easily use 3 TBSP in a day without any problems at all – and actually used 2 TBSP the very first time (not knowing to start out smaller), without any problems. It seems we all have different tolerance levels for the amount! I guess that’s why they advise starting small, lol. I’m so sorry to hear that though!
I think you’ll find them VERY convenient once you use them for a little while. There are 3 teaspoons per TBSP, so for at home a single packet would be six teaspoons – so you could try just that much from one packet for 6 days even, or work up to two teaspoons over the first week and see how that goes.

When I take KeTo Mct oil powder I do alright with the one scoop serving but I don’t see the amount of MCT oil it in on the pkg. I also love KiTu Super Creamer Protein + MCT Oil. It also has cream and monk fruit sweetener. I have been using that for my coffee and love it. It seems to give me instant energy and clears the brain fog but it doesn’t say how much or what kind of MCT oil it contains. After reading your email saying to stay clear of products that don’t give the exact amounts of MCt oil I’m wondering about this but as I say It really gives my that good feeling in the morning. But I will be taking your advice and trying a gradual amount of the FBomb and see how that goes. Thanks for the follow up.
Lynn Terry says
I am happy to look it up for you if you tell me which brand of MCT oil powder you’re using. You’re right though – in my comparison chart I showed how the powder has MUCH less MCT in it than the oil, so it’s a matter of gradually increasing your tolerance level.
Oil is the purest form with the most MCTs per serving, so it’s WAY more potent than the powder version.
Some MCT Oil’s are not a pure C8 or C8/C10 oil like I pointed out in my post & comparison, so if you’re using one that contains lauric acid (MCT 12) for example, the results & effects will be totally different than a pure oil like the FBOMB you just tried.
It was a serious rabbit hole, all the research, and everything I learned – but fascinating stuff! I hope by sharing what I learned it can simplify it for everyone else… because I had no idea just how amazing this stuff was!! (The “real stuff” that is.) Or how much crap was being sold to unsuspecting buyers. π
I’m doing a fun test with MCT oil right now. π Stay tuned! I think the results are going to be quite interesting!
