Iโm back to my exercise goals, and that feels SO good. ๐
On Thursday I did Tricep Dips to firm my upper arms back up, and on Friday: an ambitious 6-mile hike!
I also went grocery shopping (finally, lol).
I did a fun live video on Facebook sharing the low carb staples I picked up at the store last night on my way back from my hike:
ย
The outfit I showed you in the video is Fabletics, and thatโs the invite link I told you about for a deal on their awesome leggings. ๐
I mentioned in my last food diary that I was back in ketosis after some sketchy choices on a Chinese Buffet ๐ so my weight is moving down this week, and I also have MUCH less of an appetite โ which is common when you go through keto fluโฆ
Thursdayโs Low Carb Meals
I only had two meals on Thursday, but I split them into four meals spread throughout the day. Breakfast was a HUGE Cinnamon Know Cookie with some almonds, cream cheese & peanut butter. (YUM!)
For lunch/dinner I called in delivery from a local place: a hamburger steak with roasted cauliflower, squash, broccoli & zucchini. It also had carrots but I picked those out. ๐
Thatโs mayo on the side โ for dipping. ๐

Fridayโs Low Carb Meals
Before I headed out on my hike Friday morning I had another bowl of that DELICIOUS low carb cereal. ๐ Itโs Chunky Musli Swedish Cereal and Milkadamia Macamedia Milk:
ย
I got up early to finish my work, enjoyed my cereal, then headed out for a hike โ because the weather was just TOO nice to pass up! In between dreary colder days and big storms, we had ONE nice sunny/warm day here in Tennessee.
I packed quite a few compact but calorie-dense foods so I could enjoy lunch on the trail, but I ended up eating less than I thought I would.
I couldnโt get a photo of it because I dropped my phone in the river (like I said in the video, lol), but I ate some biltong and cream cheese and a pack of almonds.
I had the cream cheese packet, but the biltong and almonds came out of my last Keto Krate box:
Iโm not usually a fan of biltong or dried beef, but it was great with cream cheese on the trail yesterday!
I was too exhausted to make (or even eat) dinner after my crazy hikeโฆ so I just went to bed around 7:30pm and called it a day. ๐

Here is the ONE photo I got before my phone ended up in that river. ๐
It was a GREAT hike, six full miles and 18 river crossings โ with absolutely amazing views! I hiked Window Cliffs, and climbed to the very top of the Window Cliffs to enjoy my low carb lunch in the sunshine.:)
ย
My weight is still up a bit from this time last year, but moving down lately โ finally. My current weight: 142 pounds.
My goal is to get back to my regular workouts to build lean muscle (again), and of course continue eating low carb to lose the last few pounds of body fat.
Exercise is my TOP priority right now. It felt GREAT to get in a good workout two days in a row. My legs and hips are feeling that hike today, so Iโm off to do an upper body workoutโฆ for a 3rd day in a row.
Because I am SERIOUS about getting back to my daily workouts! ๐
How are things going with you?

Thank you, Franna ๐ They replaced my phone super fast, I had a new one by 11am the next morning. Yay!
Iโm really glad you got to see the video & enjoyed it. I assumed it would play even if you werenโt on or logged in to Facebook, so good to hear!
That Know cookie really is filling esp with Peanut Butter or Cream Cheese.
That hamburger steak looks amazing. The veggies too. Yummmmmm!!!
I wish i had a restaurant here that served that. ๐
I agree, Gina โ and theyโre SO good. I love that they are made with real foods, and a healthy treat I can make a meal of. ๐ I may just have one for breakfast this morning now that weโre talking about it.:)
I make the hamburger steaks at home a lot too. Or used to โ I havenโt cooked much lately, lol. I like to add spinach to mine too: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/12904/bbq-spinach-burgers/ Thatโs delicious!!
I like that you are doing videos nowโฆ..but 20 plus minutes is way too long โฆโฆ
