I didn’t eat enough yesterday. I hate when MyFitnessPal gives me that warning that I’m going to DIE DIE DIE because I didn’t hit their silly calorie goal. LOL 😛
Whatever. I ate what I wanted, when I wanted, and didn’t really feel like eating anyway. So there.
I did eat though. 991 calories, 20 net carbs, 27 total carbs, and 56 grams of protein. I think I’ll live…
Actually, I don’t even feel like talking about food, much less eating it. I’m going to head out and take my handsome great dane for a nice brisk walk while the sun is shining so bright. 🙂 BRB…
Well dang, we were looking in the window when I took the picture, but about that time a group of kids came around the corner. 😛 Ha! Anyway, that’s us – me and my great dane, Slim (appropriately named, lol).
He got thirsty on our walk, of course…
🙂 We did just over two miles in the sunshine, at a fast pace, then I came home and gave him a cool bath in the driveway (car wash style, lol). He’s napping now, all clean and tired. :+) See my bracelet – the little grey monkeys? That’s for Ms Molly. I bought it the day she died, and wear it often. It’s just a small way of keeping her with us, as we keep moving forward. I miss her… deeply.
Anyway, I came here to share my food journal with you. Then I left you and went for a walk, lol – total sidetrack. 😛 Let’s see. Yesterday was Wednesday and I met Sherry for lunch in the city. I skipped breakfast (just had coffee) then had a beautiful plate of greens for lunch.
Low Carb Spinach Salad
It was late when I headed home, so I stopped at Hardee’s on the way back to grab a quick bite. I wasn’t in the mood for a bunless burger, and didn’t want the carb count of a Low Carb Grilled Chicken Club, so I decided on the Big Hot Ham & Cheese instead. Low carb style of course. 😉
Low Carb Hot Ham & Cheese from Hardee’s
I just asked for the “Big Hot Ham & Cheese, no bun, wrapped in lettuce instead please”. No problem!
I was tired last night, and couldn’t be bothered to cook, so I had 1/3 cup of pecan halves for “dinner” (or last meal, lol). Here’s how my macros worked out for the day:
Speaking of cooking, I have chicken thighs in the oven as we speak. I got groceries this week. 🙂 Shocking, I know – lol. I am making up a whole pan of thighs. And I’m going to bake some low carb sausage biscuits later this evening too. I may even make some sausage, egg & spinach “muffins” (crustless quiches) while I’m at it… 🙂
How are things going on your end? Are you eating at home / cooking, eating out a lot, sticking to your low carb diet, struggling right now – or what? Let’s chat!

I wanted to thank you for your posts, they are such a big help. You have so many great ideas and easy recipes.
I’m all about making it as easy as possible.
Thank you Judy! π
Easy is GOOD!!
Looking good Lynn! I’ve been doing pretty well. Went on a girls camping weekend last week and actually didn’t stray at all. This week I gained a pound. I think I do better when I eat more salads. This week I ate more hot foods. As the weather gets colder and it’s harder and harder to eat salads it’s going to be a challenge for me!
Oh…and I hate with myfitnesspal tells me that I’m going to die too!!!
LOL, yes – they can be so dramatic about it. π haha
The scales often fluctuate a pound (or two or three). I wouldn’t sweat it. As long as you are tracking and staying within your ideal macros, the long term trend should be going in the right direction. π
Try working salads in with your hot meals. I love fresh raw spinach, so that’s my favorite kind of salad – and it can be topped with a hot grilled meat and even drizzled with a bacon drippings & mayo type of dressing. π
