Thank goodness we are at the end of February and almost through winter!
Spring is just around the corner (March 20th!) and we are kicking off another FUN 90 Day Low Carb Challenge. 😀
The 90 Day Low Carb Spring Challenge officially begins on March 1st, 2013. Join us and gear up for the Spring/Summer season with a great low carb accountability group. We share tons of recipes, ideas, and of course motivation and encouragement.
You can get on the mailing list and join the Facebook Group at http://www.90DayLowCarbChallenge.com
Our last live challenge was a lot of fun, with TONS of weight loss reported and a great group to keep the motivation going. Our official group goals for the Spring Challenge are:
- Eat 20-25 Net Carbs Per Day
- Try New Low Carb Foods Because Variety Helps Sustain The Lifestyle
- Move More & Gain Strength To Boost Metabolism
- Drink Plenty of Water!
*Feel free to vary these goals as needed for personal preference and need.
There are currently over 1,300 of us in the Low Carb Challenge group. If you haven’t already joined us, we would love to have you!
Feel free to invite any of your low carb friends too of course, or anyone interested in getting started. Here’s the link to join: 90 Day Low Carb Challenge
You’ll also find our blog posts and Podcast episodes on that page.
I am especially excited about this challenge as I am finally off my prescription medication, and had my surgery on February 1st. My weight loss stalled late Fall and through the winter, and I’m pretty sure it had to do with my health issues. While I’m still in recovery from the surgery, I finally have all of that behind me – and I can’t wait to kick off a serious challenge and get back to losing weight & getting in shape!
I look forward to seeing you there. 😀
Lynn, I’m so glad to hear that you are getting over your past illness and back to normal again.
Of course, I’m in for the Low Carb Challenge this spring (and forever). This is especially important for me as a Type 2 Diabetic who is controlling my disease with diet and exercise, no meds! What you eat is especially important for diabetics, and Low Carb is the only way to go. If you want to control your insulin and blood sugar, carbs really do matter.
I agree, there’s a ton of information and inspiration at the 90 Day Low Carb Challenge, I’m happy to be part of the group.
I’m glad you joined us too, Vicki! 😀 I’m nowhere near normal yet (or my version anyway, lol) but I am trying to ease back into low carb post-surgery and looking for some simple bland low carb food ideas. You can read about that in my next post: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/3759/need-simple-post-surgery-low-carb-ideas/ Hoping to be back to my old self soon though!! 😉
Well Hello Lynn
Very timely invite as I struggle to kick the chocolate habit and get back into the shape I know I can.
Having seen my waist travel this journey before, I know I can do it and this challenge will be a great way to focus my mind and control my hands whilst I am near the office tea bar!
