I am 72 hours into being “back on track” and I am definitely in Ketosis.
I don’t use ketostix, but it’s just something I can feel when it hits me.
My weigh in for today: 162.2 pounds. The scales are slowly but consistently moving down, and I’m loving it! I always weigh in first thing in the morning, but after my nap yesterday afternoon I actually weighed almost two pounds lighter than that.
I’m expecting great results this week! 😀
On Wednesday (yesterday) every single meal consisted of low carb “fast food.”
I had a Reflexology appointment first thing in the morning, so I stopped at McDonald’s on the way and got a Sausage Egg McMuffin. I actually ordered two, but could only eat one.
Between Reflexology and Ketosis, I ended up having a longer nap than usual. When I woke up is when I weighed in lighter – 160.6 if I remember correctly.
I woke up starving! LOL… I had a late lunch of Pizza toppings. I had the toppings only off about half a large pepperoni pizza (4 slices). The teens around here order out pizza a lot! 😛 It was a nice “junk food” indulgence with the kids while watching a movie though, and of course still super low carb.
I had a late workout at the gym last night, and ate the other Sausage & Egg from McDonalds before I went. I got an hour in on the treadmill, with steep incline & light weights to work my arms. It felt great!!
I’m challenging myself to work out every single day, even if it’s just 10-20 minutes of stairs at home or working on my arms with my five pound weights.
After the gym I decided to go to Wendy’s. I got a small chili (15 net carbs) and also got a couple of BLT Cobb Salad’s to put in the refrigerator for tomorrow (today). That’s my version of “grocery shopping” LOL.
I had the chili before I went to bed last night. So that makes two pieces of sausage, two eggs, pizza toppings and a cup of chili. I also had my usual coffee yesterday, and an Iced Coffee with sugar free vanilla – plus my water. In hindsight, it doesn’t seem like a lot of food – but I felt satisfied. I always notice a decrease in my appetite when I am in Ketosis.
Obviously I didn’t manage to eat ANYthing green, but I’ll fix that today. 😛

Once again, after my nap today, I weighed in lighter – 161.2 (a pound lighter). Very odd. I usually weigh the least first thing in the morning! π
