Just in time for the holidays, I’m hosting a fun drawing for a cool Spicy Apron of your choice!
We also have an exclusive coupon code good through November 30th. All you have to do is go to Spicy Aprons Inc. and use the coupon code “lynnterry” to get 10% off your order PLUS free shipping.
The drawing starts Saturday November 3rd and runs through 10pm Eastern on Saturday November 10th, 2012. These aprons are not just for women, either! They have cool aprons for you men that cook & grill too. 😉
All Spicy Aprons are made with 100% cotton duck fabrics in a durable weight. Cotton duck is one of the fabrics (in a little heavier weight) that is used to make sails for sailboats, to give you an idea of the durability of these the aprons. The fabrics are pre-washed to insure minimal shrinkage and the stitching is very detailed and densely stitched. Other aprons are made using a much lighter weight cotton or polyester, or poly/rayon/cotton etc blends. Spicy Aprons are as much as twice the weight of other aprons, so they offer much better durability along with the cute and unique styles.
The Drawing Is Now Closed. Congratulations To Our Winner, Melody! 😀

6 months ago I approached my Dr. about not losing but continue gaining. Tracking food for 2 years I knew I was faithful on 1,200-1,500 daily intake. His response exercise more (already 3x week) NO. Something is wrong. Well, lots of things have since been corrected (Vit D, Insuline issues, and more) I’ve lost 35 lbs in 4 months following really low carb (20-30 grams) and switching to mod protein, high healthy fat. Not yet stable every day but with keton but sure am on the right track…
Lynn Terry says
WOW – Congratulations on 35 pounds lost, June! π
Shawn says
Hi, Lynn,
What I like most about this blog is that I am finding out what low carb eating is all about. You have a lot of good information, and I am tempted to try it … if I can just figure out how to keep my husband happy (he says he could never give up potatoes, corn, etc.). I love to cook, but I don’t want to make separate meals. Have you heard how others solved that problem?
Thanks!
Shawn
Lynn Terry says
When I cook for the kids, I simply make enough of the things I *can* eat, and have that on my own plate. I just skip the potatoes or corn or whatever else I made for the kids.
Deb Butler says
I love the 90 Day Low Carb Challenge! It gives me a sensse of “belonging” I hope it never ends!!!
Lynn Terry says
I’m really glad you joined us, Deb! I love that it has grown into such a resourceful and close community. π It’s much more fun to work on a goal together than alone!
Tammy says
Hi Lynn,
Again, great video! π I’ve heard many good testimonies and stories about low carb diets. I love your honesty throughout the blog. I also really like how you show your readers what you eat, your progress and also your attitude about your health and the low carb eating.
Congrats to you on your weight loss success so far! And I’d love to win one of those aprons. I’d love to wear one while cooking and baking during the holidays. However, I’ll be on vacation the beginning of December up until Dec 21st….but maybe I’ll be doing some cooking/baking after I recoup from vacation and for New Years. We’ll see. lol
Thanks for the giveaway. π
Lynn Terry says
Thank you Tammy! Just a few weeks now until your big vacation… Enjoy!! π
Donna says

Lynn Terry says
Thank you Donna! π
Kathy says
I have been eating low carb since June 25th of this year and have lost 31 pounds! Whoop whoop!!! I’m so excited to have found the 90 day challenge, because I love all the support everyone gives to each other and they have shared some great recipes as well. Before low carb I did low fat and lost 22 pounds then stalled for 3 SOLID months. Low carb is so much better. The cravings are completely gone and this is so doable as a permanent way of eating.
Lynn Terry says
Wow, Kathy – congratulations!!! π
I agree, this is a much easier way of eating, and one I can sustain long term compared to other “diets”. So glad you joined us!
Sherie says
I love these sassy little aprons. I’ve never been much of an “apron gal” but I’m so tired of having to wash my shirts 2-3 times to get splatters out of them! I’ve been telling Ken now for a few weeks that I’d love a cute apron to save my clothes! I’d was hoping he’d take the hint for my birthday, but It would be so much more fun to win one! LOL
Now – what I like best about the TLC site? I love how creative you are ordering at a restaurant. I never had a clue you could substitute. Now I’m always asking for veggies instead of fries or rice. Not just any veggies either, I go for the good stuff! Loaded broccoli or asparagus it’s when in season! π I’ve confess, I’ve become a “bold and brazen” substituter! LOL You taught us well!
Also, I’m amazed at how low-carb you can eat at fast food places. A fat, juicy, yummy hamburger wrapped in lettuce? Who knew? Now, I’m always looking for a Hardees, and it’s not because of their giant breakfast biscuits either!
Thanks for thinking of the contest, Lynn!
Thanks, Lynn!
Sherie says
Would have helped if I had proofed it better! LOL
Lynn Terry says
True – lol – I’ve had to get REAL creative considering how much I eat out. Restaurants, fast food and Take-Out make up the majority of my meals most of the time π LOL.
Alan says
I’m pleased to be associated with Lynn on this one. All of us at Spicy Aprons appreciate the great job Lynn does of bringing interesting and useful information to her readers. We are looking forward to presenting the winner with a Spicy Apron of choice, so be sure to enter!

Beth says
Love your blog. I don’t really know any of my friends that eat low carb. So this site has been a wonderful support !
Lynn Terry says
Ditto that, Beth – and it’s much more fun to do it with others! π
Nancy says
I love your blog, so glad I found it recently. I like how you write about solutions about eating out and not stressing over it. Love the upbeat message you send, about even if you go off, there is always the next day and just next meal to plan better. Thank you!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you Nancy! I have really enjoyed this blog – it’s nice to have a “journal” to talk about what I’m learning and experiencing. But more than that, I’ve met some really cool people along the way. And it’s nice not to be alone in it. π *cheers*
Laurie says
I guess we’ve been kind of “naturally” been on a low carb diet without even trying! We’re vegans and eat lots of fruits and veggies. Yes, we do still eat some carbs, but I”d have to say I think the fruits and veggies make up the major part of our diet.
Looks like a great blog!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you Laurie!
I don’t actually eat fruit though, as it’s very high in natural sugar. I do eat berries, because they have a lower Glycemic Index (GI) but otherwise get my nutrients from vegetables.
Autumn Myers says
I haven’t tried the low carb diet, but after starting a healthier lifestyle, I’d like to try it to see how much more weight I could lose, and how much I could change my body. Adorable giveaway!
Lynn Terry says
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised if you give it a whirl. π It’s the ONLY thing that has worked for me for weight loss – and as something I could sustain long-term. Love it!!
Lisa Card says
I just love the 90 Day Low Carb Challenge and your blog! They both give me lots of info I probably wouldn’t otherwise have and I am very encouraged. It keeps me going! I have lost 42 lbs. so far!
Lynn Terry says
Nice!! Congratulations on losing 42 pounds! π
Melody Coats says
WINNER! I love the 90 Day Low Carb challenge face book site! I have gathered all kids of recipes that will keep me going on the diet and I don’t feel alone in this struggle. This is the LAST time I “diet” because this has to be a life style change. With the new recipes and web sites I have discovered through this page, I feel my goals are attainable and I won’t want for the bad versions of my favorite foods!
Lynn Terry says
Congratulations, Melody! Your name was chosen in the random drawing tonight to win the Spicy Apron of your choice! π Alan will be getting in touch with you to ship your prize to you. Thank you for participating!! *cheers*
Emma Baumann says
My favorite part of the 90 day low carb challenge are the podcasts. Your ideas, motivation, and personal struggles/trials&error/etc. have really helped me through! It’s great to know that others are going through the same things and to get new ideas and recipes to try. I also like how you address things like emotional eating and attitude towards food. Thanks!!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you Emma! Kelly and I SO enjoy doing the podcast. π
Martin says
What I love about the challenge is that Lynn is making the challenge and she obviously loves her food – so it is really a challenge that anyone could have a go at!
Lynn Terry says
I do love my food, LOL. π *cheers*
Angie @ Losing It and Loving It says

Robin McComas says
I love the Low Carb Challenge. Whenever I feel discouraged or need new ideas, I hope on the page and am immediately boosted and reactivated!
Lynn Terry says
I feel the same way, Robin. So glad it’s been a source of encouragement and fun new recipes for everyone! Just this past week I had a tough day of cravings, and every time I would just hop on and scroll through the updates there and it got me through! π
Rhonda R Wise says
I love this group and this challenge! I have lost about 8 pounds since starting October 8 and many inches! I’m not concentrating too much on anything but sticking with my goal of around 20 to 25 net carbs per day….the rest is easy peasy…..I am so satisfied with this way of eating that I forget that I’m even doing it! I do Zumba 3 times a week at my local Y and my fellow Zumba addicts have commented on my weight loss (even though it seems like a small number to me). This 90 Day Challenge group is FABULOUS! Great support, encouragement, laughs, tears, challenges, good recipes……what a great idea! Keep it going after the 90 days PLEEEEASE!!!!
Lynn Terry says
8 pounds lost in such a short amount of time is AWESOME, Rhonda!! Congrats on that – I bet you look amazing. π
Mary says
My favorite low carb recipe is this low carb no bake cheesecake. It is super easy and yummy and low carb, so you will want to double the recipe to last or you will eat it all at once : ). Even my carb eating hubby likes it. I make it with no crust and just eat it in a desert bowl. The recipe is from about.com/low carb and Laura Dolson created it. Here is the link. http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/cakes/r/Low-Carb-No-Bake-Cheesecake.htm
Hope you enjoy and the whole site there is great. Thanks.
Mary says
I will also add a few chopped walnuts and a little sugar free chocolate syrup to the top for only a couple more carbs.
Lynn Terry says
YUM! Thank you for sharing this recipe, Mary! π
TJ TALLMAN says
I like that I no longer feel alone in my struggle with weightloss and doing LC woe. I have friends to help me out, share tips and experiences…good days & not so good days! TY! Tina
Lynn Terry says
Me too, Tina. π *cheers*
Tracy Robinson says
My wife and three of my daughters are vegetarians, but I can’t seem to give up the meat eating. After seeing a lot of your meals and seeing various recipes on here for low carb dieting, I think that this might be the way to go for me to lose some weight. That way I can still eat the same vegetables the rest of the family eats, but also incorporate some healthy meat eating in for me and my son.
Lynn Terry says
Great idea, Tracy – and that definitely puts you in a good position! My son’s girlfriend is vegetarian and it was great fun putting a meal together when she was here last Christmas. She does still eat fish (I know there’s a name for that type of vegetarian, but I can’t remember it off the top of my head). So I made ham AND crab legs for the holiday meal – with LOTS of veggies. π
Lynn Terry says
