Hey, it’s been awhile! 👋😊 I’m finally back up and around a bit and wanted to catch up, so I did a live video chat on Facebook (which you can also watch here on my blog, below).
I also secured us a Keto Krate Giveaway, so be sure to drop in with a comment to enter yourself to win a box full of keto friendly snacks & treats!
They have a great BOGO deal this month, so I’ll put the details on that below for you too, because you can swap the code and get the BOGO (by one get a 2nd box free) PLUS get $10 off the 2-for-1 deal. 😉
They threw a topic at us to discuss, so I thought that would be fun to tie in to the Giveaway (or not, that’s up to you! keep reading)… but here’s the topic:
“What staying on track means to me and how Keto Krate helps.”
For me, “staying on track” just means “this is how I eat”.
That’s not how I started out in the beginning, of course. I started eating low carb in 2011, and it was a HUGE transition for me, so I used all kinds of crutches while I was in the process of breaking my food habits and changing the way I eat – and the way I looked at food.
I was an emotional eater, so I saw food as comfort, I was in the habit of eating in front of the tv, having something sweet after meals, etc. So I just made changes to WHAT I ate in the beginning, eating sugar free sweets at night etc, then gradually changed my eating habits over time.
I wasn’t a cold turkey convert. 😉 But over time, it simply became how I ate: low carb, sugar free, gluten free. It became easy, because it eventually became habit. It’s how I shopped, how I cooked, how I ordered food when I was out, etc.
Being consistent, and taking the time to change your habits, screw-ups and all!, that’s what makes it EASY to eventually “stay on track” as just the way you eat and live.
Keto Krate played a big part in that because I found them early on. I was still hiking and traveling and on-the-go A LOT so it was nice to have a good variety of “grab and go” foods to toss in my bag for long road trips, long days with multiple flights, or all day hiking or camping.
I also loved the variety to mix things up at home, and discovered so many great products I never would have found otherwise! Like that Primal Foods Chipotle Mayo that I use to make a spicy cream sauce all the time now. It’s also how I discovered ChocZero. 😍
In the most perfect timing, I ran across some Facebook Memories of posts I did years ago about that transition for me, and what a BIG transition it was – and how it totally changed my life.
I sat with those memories for a good while, because I realized all that positive change I made and work I did on myself, is exactly what has gotten me through the last 3+ years of being so incredibly unwell (cognitively and physically handicapped).
I thought maybe we’d talk about that next, because it’s a deep topic, but a good one! 🙂 But for now, here’s the details on the Keto Krate Giveaway, and on their August BOGO deal (and the trick to get $10 off TOO so you get more AND save more!) …

Hope I’m commenting in right place. I’ve always wanted to try the products you talk about in your Keto crates. Thanks!
Lynn Terry says
I should start doing the monthly breakdown again like I used to, about each product in the box every month, and the best place to get it at the best price (amazon vs website vs walmart etc). I found SO many great brands and products I ended up using on repeat just from getting to try them in a Keto Krate box and discovering how awesome they were!
Angela says
It was so wonderful seeing you in a live!! Everything in the keto crate looked so good…its nice to have such a variety available.
Lynn Terry says
I love the variety too. π And THANK YOU, it was so nice to be up and alert enough to sit down for a chat – finally, it’s been awhile!! xo
Kristy Key says
Hi! We’ve missed you! Glad to see an update from you. I love ketocrate. I get them from time to time when I can afford it and have gotten ry good snack ideas from their products. Having keto snacks really helps me keep on track!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Kristy π I’ve missed you all too!
I love when they do the BOGO deals, or sometimes add-on promos, like a free product (box of cookies, etc). I think my favorite thing about their boxes is that they aren’t sample sizes, but full sized products or single serving snacks/sweets I can take with me on the go. It’s a great way to try a good variety of things without having to buy 6 of each too, especially if I don’t love it lol.
Manacca says
Hello,
It’s been a while, but trying to stay on track
Lynn Terry says
Hi Manacca, great to hear from you! π
What do you find makes it hardest to stay on track and/or … what works best for you TO stay on track?
Robin Bayne says
Glad to hear from you! I am finally back on track so it would be fun to win. Have a wonderful week.
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Robin π Wishing you a great week as well!! Glad to hear you’re back on track. Hope things are going well with you. I look forward to catching up with everyone , hoping! It’s so nice to be up and alert for a change, and get to have a few chats at least. π xo
Lori says
Staying on track is an uphill battle. I wish I had more ways to keep me accountable. Iβm tired of the βI can always start over tomorrowβ line
Lynn Terry says
Ooh, yeah THAT line (“tomorrow is a new day”) – I used to be hung up with that one too, so I get it. It was an unfortunate event that broke me of that (grief / a death) but stopping that cycle was SO helpful for me on my own journey, and instead focusing only on the day I’m in now, and making the best choices I can in this one moment. That helped me a lot, vs looking back or looking ahead.
Sue Laurito says
Thank you for sharing your βbecoming healthyβ journey and securing a keto crate. Keto snacks help me stay on track and not binge on junk food.
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Sue – me too!! Just having something to grab in those moments, or when I just want to enjoy something sweet, or something DIFFERENT, and having it on hand right then vs having to think about it and order or go get something … that helps a lot! π
Cheryl says
All my life I have a family history of Diabetes and watching my weight . This can be a game changer for my life. At the age of 66yrs old I want to remain healthy.
Lynn Terry says
I agree, Cheryl. I think our health is our greatest asset! I’ve said that for years, but it has really hit home the last few years when I lost control of my health. Even still, I do everything I can to be the happiest healthiest version of myself, even in my current condition, and I think that’s the best we can do. Whatever it takes to stay on that track, that’s a great thing in my book! π xo
Sandy Sanger says
just open August keto Krate looks good
Lynn Terry says
It’s so much fun, isn’t it? π It’s like getting a surprise birthday gift every month! I hope you enjoyed all the treats this month!
Lisa Haley says
I lost weight eating low carb, but have gained it back. I need to get back on track!
Lynn Terry says
Hop right on, Lisa! Isn’t it great having that past experience, so you KNOW it works, and have the confidence to get back on track knowing you’ll get GREAT results and feel fantastic? π xo
Christy says
So glad to see you Lynn! I hope youβll continue to hop on when you are having a good day. Praying for complete healing. Miss you!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you so much, Christy! I look forward to showing up more when I’m able, and getting back to our fun conversations there and here. π xo
Lisa Anderson says
Keto is the only thing that helped me shed pounds. I have neuropathy non diabetic and I need to keep sugar out of my eating . I turned to Traveling low carb to learn the way ! I have never gotten to get a keto crate it would be awesome to win
Lynn Terry says
I have neuropathy now too (sensorimotor neuropathy) so I can relate. What you eat makes such a big difference in how you feel! I’m glad you were able to get some tips & ideas here π Hearing that made my day! π xo
Lori Yount says
Staying keto/low carb let’s me feel like I’m winning against my type 2 diabetes diagnosis!
Lynn Terry says
That’s an AWESOME feeling, isn’t it? WIN on!! π xo
Sarah Oswald says
My biggest weakness is sweets so having snacks I can eat on hand keeps me from eating the stuff I shouldn’t be eating . Thanks for the chance to win!
Lynn Terry says
Check your email, Sarah – you’re the winner of this Giveaway for a free Keto Krate box. π ENJOY!! xo
Lynn Terry says
I love having healthy snacks and sugar free sweets on hand always too, and the VARIETY – because I tend to just buy the same things on repeat (lazy shopper, lol) and having something different to mix things up now and then REALLY helps me stay on track. π
Debi Sieg says
Thanks for the update. Thanks for sharing your health journey! Still praying for you Lynn. Keto Crate looks great!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you so much, Debi. I appreciate that, I’ll take all the help and prayers and good vibes I can get! π xo
Stephanie says
As a long-time follower of yours, I’ve missed you! I’ve never pulled the trigger on Keto Krate, but have eyed it more than once. Thanks for offering this great giveaway!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you Stephanie π I’ve missed being here! I am still hopeful I’ll get well enough to be able to show up more, even just for fun conversations and sharing meals & ideas. It’s been a rough while, almost 4 years I guess, and this past year has been quite challenging. It’s great to see you though, and thank you! π xo
Annette Welch says
Itβs not easy. The struggle to Lise weight is very real.
Lynn Terry says
I felt that way when I first started. I think that was 13 years ago? Maybe a little more. Once I achieved it, in hindsight, “losing weight” was the easy part. Definitely not the lesson I expected to learn, lol. It was breaking habits, and changing the way I think and the way I respond to certain things. THAT was the hard part for me! I’ll have to find the post I wrote about that…
Brenda Whitehead says
Hi! I have been sick since the last week of July and am trying to get over Covid. The BOGO offer is good timing! I have been off my Keto for a long time but it’s time to get back to my real life (on Keto). Timing is good to start eating on my menus again – even though I have no appetite – which might make things easier because I can just eat what’s in front of me and not think about it. So, back to Keto on the first of next month! Thank you!
Lynn Terry says
I hope you are feeling much better now, Brenda. π But what a great point: great timing to get back on track! Lack of appetite has definitely made it easier for me. π There are lots of us getting back on plan with summer ending, so you’re in good company!
HAPPY SEPTEMBER START-BACK MONTH π xo
