I wish I had better news, Following keto is so hard, I’m up and down with my weight from 132-136 so far no changes. I find myself cheating a little here and there, I do intermittent fasting, I thought that would help with the weight loss even more but, not so much. Not sure what to do at this point.

7 weeks..
I weigh exactly the same. I have been sugar binging in a way I never have before on Keto, and I’m not dropping as fast as I used to.
I guess I have maintenance figured out lol. But with 60lbs to lose… now is not the time to maintain. I’ve been doing the same rollercoaster now for 3 years. I don’t know yet how to get off, but I am definitely trying to figure out this whole self sabotage thing I got going on (and yes I’m aware sugar is an addiction, but I’ve been able to break other addiction, this one is crazy hard though)
I’m not quitting. :). And I’m celebrating other peoples successes.. which I will have too.

I am on month 3 and find I still don’t always feel great. I am super sensitive to missing electrolytes, for sure. I did have the flu and have just recovered from that, so I am not sure if it is illness or diet related. I have fibromyalgia and I had gastric bypass in 2004, so those two things are also probably factors. What is your opinion? Do you think I should stick it out through summer when I am usually less ill? I see my doctor on Wed. But was just curious from someone who has been with it long term.

Drink a keto flu electrolyte drink daily until you start to feel better. There are a few on pinterest and they really work.

I cut the carbs for 4 months, had great results, lots of ailments gone (joint pain, carpel tunnel, better sleep, breakouts gone, slight weight loss of 12 lbs, decreased appetite). However, the big negative has been short term memory loss, permanent brain fog the entire time I was on Keto/low carb.
Am I an anomaly? I want to try again, but I was feeling like a dementia patient. I would like to hear if this has occurred for anyone else and possible solutions. The only one I’ve found was possibly increasing electrolytes by adding salt to broth twice per day. I didn’t make that happen on a daily basis before.

Feeling like I am reaching a milestone. Only 5 pounds down but I am feeling so much better with tons more energy in the morning. Two thumbs up!

I have been struggling. I started in January of last year with my husband. I lost 30 pounds and he lost 40. That was all he really wanted to lose so he has been pretty much eating whatever he wants. I knew that would make it harder but I really didn’t realize how much harder. I spent a week at the hospital with my dad and really struggled there even though the cafeteria had good options. π Since he got out of the hospital I’ve been traveling back and forth (its a 1 1/2 hour drive) and I am usually hungry, tired and stressed. BUT, the good part is that I haven’t put weight back on. I don’t know how. I always return to low carb. I know it’s better for me and I have fibromyalgia and some digestive issues so this blog really helps me try to keep on track and watch for things I might not catch. I need to get serious about getting back on track. Thanks Lynn for all your help!!

Hi, I lost all my weight last year, now Iβve gained it all back! Seems like when the doctor added another medication I started gaining weight. I cannot seem to get restarted. Down 3 pounds then up 3. Donβt know what I should do?

I have lost 16 lbs during this challenge. I an happy about that. I do wonder if this is sustainable for me because I had gastric bypass 12 years ago and because of that I can not eat things like steak, burgers, chicken, and most fish so I find it difficult to get the protein and fats unless I’m using protein shakes and lots of dairy based products. There aren’t many keto foods that I really enjoy because of my restrictions. I realize I’m not the norm but I am tired of cheesy this or that because that seems to be all I can eat.
I would love to hear from other keto people who have similar restrictions so we could compare notes. Had I known about keto before my surgery I wouldnt have done it.
