“People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they should really be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas…” ~Unknown
As this year comes to a close, I wanted to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU for all of your comments and your encouragement over the last 6+ months. Not to mention your success stories, and you “weighing in” with me along the way!
Starting this blog back in June of this year helped me to stay on track. It helped me to learn new things and meet a lot of cool new people. And it’s been FUN. 😀
Thank you for being a part of that. I am so looking forward to the year ahead, and more importantly to the next 18 months – between now and the time I FINALLY turn 40! LOL. I’ve been looking forward to that for a long time now, and intend to be in the best shape of my life when I get there. 😉
Here’s to an awesome New Year together… with lots of great low carb foods, recipe sharing, working out, and losing some MORE weight together! *cheers*
Happy New Year!
Best,
Lynn Terry

I just got back from my Christmas Cruise in the Caribbean. Ate like a King! Steak, lobster, salmon, prime rib, lamb, pork, eggs, cream cheese, bacon, etc. *Never* went hungry the whole time. I don’t generally get to eat nearly that well except on a cruise.
Oh, and this cruise, I didn’t do any weight training or other exercise, other than a bit of walking around the tourist traps. Mostly sat around catching up on my reading. Spent a little time in the hot tub, got some natural vitamin D3 by laying out in the sun, and ate 4 or 5 meals a day.
And I lost a pound during the cruise. Not too shabby!

Wow, Howard. That sounds great. Congratulations on your loss of a pound. How cool is that to eat so well and still lose? Good luck to you in 2012.
Lynn, I look forward to sharing this weight loss journey with you and your followers. Such a supportive group of people. I wish all of us a very Happy New Year.

You have been a real inspiration to me! I have tasted success in weight loss BUT gained a lot back. 2011 was stinky but I intend on making 2012 the year that I make things happen and STICK. Will need a lot of support that is for sure.
I turn 40 on April 1st and I can’t wait!
Best to you in 2012.

You have inspired me as well! Especially in the fitness department. π That’s my goal for the year – to get back on track with working out and get in the best shape of my life. I love your Facebook weigh-ins! π
40 is going to be awesome. I’m jealous you are venturing in before me. LOL. Here’s to an awesome year! *cheers*
