Unlike Tuesday I had NO appetite yesterday, but I did eat two healthy low carb meals and also got in some GREAT exercise.
Iโll share a video with you below, and show you what Iโm doing. ๐
Itโs SO easy and you can do it ANYwhere! Anyway hereโs what I ate yesterday, along with a little sneak peek into yesterdayโs big fun adventureโฆ
Day 73: Wednesdayโs Low Carb Meals
I skipped breakfast and only had one coffee because I had early appointments.
I suppose thatโs what you call โIntermittent Fastingโ although itโs never intentional with me. I love to eat. ๐ I didnโt have much of an appetite yesterday anyway, or I would have grabbed a handful of pecans on the go or something.
Since I missed breakfast, I had my healthy low carb cereal for lunch. Itโs 1/2 cup crushed pecans, 1/4 cup Daisy brand cottage cheese, 4 small diced strawberries โ and this time I added 1/8 cup diced blueberries.
It came to 7 net carbs and 84% healthy fats:
That was delicious. ๐
I had to scramble around while I was eating to get ready for a โlast minute unplanned adventure tripโ lol. Joe and I are SO spontaneous!!
My Fitbit was dead, my phone was at half charge, I didnโt have any coffee made, lol โ Ack! I pulled it all together though, haha.
I had my Fitbit charged up, my Contigo travel mug full of hot coffee and my new waterproof phone casesโฆ plus my favorite Northside USA adventure shoes.
Time to go exploring and chase waterfalls! ๐
Iโll have to share the hike with you in a detailed photo tour. It was SO much fun! We got lost in the woods on the way out, lol.
On the way back from our hike we stopped at a great little BBQ place for a quick low carb dinner. We got smoked wings & salads:
They were FABULOUS. ๐ Just โsmoked wingsโ with a marinade of worcestershire, lemon juice & hot sauce. (I asked, lol)
Confession: That particular restaurant was REALLY hard for me. I had to pause for a long second before I walked in even, lol. THIS is the place I go when I want an off plan meal. Resisting โmy usualโ there was tough!! I think Joe was just testing my willpower. ๐ I won!! haha

I did my Tricep Dips while we were on the hike. I did 15 before we headed into the trail, then another 10 on the trail. Theyโre really easy to do, and you can do them ANYwhere. ๐ This is the exercise Iโm doing at least 5 times a week right now to tone up my flabby โbatwingsโ (the underside of your arm):

My new CaliCase Waterproof, Floating Phone Cases came in this week, so the waterfall hike was a perfect opportunity to test them out!
Especially since we hiked upriver (in the water), hiked the actual waterfall, and even got caught in a downpour. ๐ I love it. I especially like that I can still USE my phone (and even take great photos) while itโs IN the case! Plus it has an awesome strap and double-lock hook, so you donโt have to worry about dropping your phone or it falling out of your pocketโฆ

It was really cool, and GREAT exercise.
One of our next adventures includes an ambitious โcave hikeโ to find a waterfall that is supposed to be hidden deep in the dark depths of the cave. ๐
The BBQ joint was tough yesterday. Especially since I was physically exhausted from the hike, which is when I tend to have less willpower. ๐
I am still below 145 pounds (which still totally blows my mind!!) and with just over 2 weeks left in the current challengeโฆ I didnโt want to totally tank myself!
I didnโt tell myself โnoโ. I simply said, โNot today.โ

Awesome will power and that meal looked really. Really. Good. Even if it wasnโt your usual. My daughter picked her bday lunch restaurant this morningโฆ..olive garden. That should be interesting. I am hoping for broccoli and chicken Alfredo. I hope I can order that.
I couldnโt resist the power of the scale this morningโฆโฆI have been trying to just weigh in on mondays but I was confident and dying to see what it was. Down 3lbs from Monday. Super excited since the scale is always moving so slow. And I havenโt had a big dip in so long.. Hoping it stays this weight. So I can move closer to onderland my first goal.
Went for a beautiful 2.5 mile walk with a friend yesterdayโฆ..really lifts my spirit to walk with a friend.
Olive Garden has a low carb / gluten free menu! ๐ Just ask for it. It has FABULOUS meals on it that arenโt on the public menu. ๐
Congrats on your weight loss this week, Joann!! Thatโs awesome. ๐ And it feels great I know โ it always gives me a huge spike of motivation.
I agree on the walking. Even just walking with Slim (my great dane) really boosts my mood. But itโs SO nice to have a friend to get out with!

Thank you Kimme!! I have been working my legs HARD the last couple of months. My midsection and upper body needs some attention now, lol. Thatโs my big goal for the summer. ๐ Iโll share photos soon (ack!) so you can see exactly what Iโm working on โ and why. ๐
You look SKINNY girl!! Great pics โ and great focus on your goals (eating at a place you love to โcheatโ eat). You can really tell your arms are firming up and having some definition and your legs. I think you look awesome and it looks like you feel awesome as well!

You look great! For some reason I get the still photos but not the videos.. could you explain how to do the โflabby armsโ Tricep Dip. Just curious , what is your cheat meal at the BBQ place? Note: I didnโt think I would but I love your recipe for Tuna Melt biscuits (I freeze them in bags of 3, defrost in Microwave wrapped in paper towels and then lightly butter and grill in a frying pan like a grilled cheese tuna melt!!!) Thanks for your inspiration.
