This morning I woke up feeling leaner. The scales didn’t move today (they don’t always), but I FELT thinner. Has that ever happened to you? I love that feeling! 🙂
It’s Day 8 of the year-end Low Carb Challenge and I’m fighting cravings. Not REAL cravings, just in my head…
I’m going to ignore them. 😛 I know EXACTLY what that’s about (resistance) and I refuse to give in to it.
Below is my MyFitnessPal Food Diary for yesterday (Sunday, Day 7) along with the low carb meals I ate. And my workout – lol! You’ll see. 😉 I slept A LOT yesterday, a full night before and after plus a solid 4-hour nap in the afternoon. I don’t know why I feel so tired lately. Change of season maybe? Who knows, I’m just going with it…
Sunday’s Low Carb Meals
I had a healthy low carb breakfast of 1/2 cup Daisy Brand cottage cheese + 2 diced strawberries + 3 plump blackberries + 1/2 a low carb peanut butter pecan bar.
Total: 8 net carbs, 71% healthy fats, 17 grams of protein.
For lunch I fried Johnsonville Polish Kielbasa (aka Smoked Sausage) and added sauerkraut, then heated up some leftover broccoli & cauliflower to go with it.
Easy! 🙂 7 net carbs.
For dinner I had another serving of the sausages & kraut, and then I had a block of Colby Jack Cheese (.63 ounces) for a snack later in the evening.
I use a small digital kitchen scale to measure & weigh my foods to get accurate macros for my food diary. Here’s my MyFitnessPal Food Diary for yesterday:
Net Carbs: 24
Total Carbs: 33
Calories: 1167
Protein: 46 grams
Ratios: 75% Fat / 16% Protein
Water: 24 ounces
For my workout yesterday, I decided to do another YouTube dance fitness video. I used one of my favorite songs to do a warmup and cooldown before & after, and below is the workout video I chose. LOL… my body does NOT move like that, but it was fun to TRY to keep up! 🙂
I’m trying to figure out what to do for dinner tonight. I’m thinking take-out. 😛 Of course, Christmas is this week! What are your plans? I’m going to see my daughter on Christmas Eve, no food involved, and then on Christmas Day I’m going to see my son and we are going to have big fat steaks on the grill 🙂 – a Low Carb Christmas!
What about you – how are things going on your end?
Best,

How do you get your fitness pal to show the snapshot of the day like you did above?
Lynn Terry says
I use this MyFitnessPal Hack: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/4448/myfitnesspal-hack/ It’s free, and I use the free version of MFP too. π

Thank you so much for always posting your stuff!!! It REALLY helps me a lot. Also, this might be a little embarrassing, but if I don’t have a grill, can I pan fry the kielbasa?? And do you cool the kraut and kielbasa together? Thanks!!
Lynn Terry says
Hi Samantha! I do pan fry my smoked sausage. I just slice it, brown it in a non stick skillet, then add the kraut and cook it together for a bit. π Easy!

Perfect! Thanks so much!!
