Free Week at Curves Fitness Center (Special Promotions)

We’ve had a couple new businesses open up in my small middle-of-nowhere town recently, and one of them is a new Curves Fitness Center. I’ve never tried Curves, but I’ve heard GREAT things about it.

I was planning to do my Zumba DVD Set at home this week, but unfortunately my TV went out over the weekend. I think it’s just the lamp (again) but it’s going to take me a few days to get the part in and get it back up & running.

In the most perfect timing, I ran across this Curves Fitness Center Special Promotions offer online, and signed up to print off a coupon for a free week at Curves. They even had my middle-of-nowhere town listed! (Go figure, lol)

It was really simple, just a quick form that took a minute or so, and bam – I had a coupon printed out and an appointment scheduled. I’m going in tomorrow (Monday) at 4pm to check it out. 😀

I’ve heard their doing Zumba classes at some Curves locations now.

How cool is that!

That will be one of my first questions when I go in tomorrow, of course. It would be nice to try a live Zumba class for a change! I’m really looking forward to it. I’d been looking for some local things to get into, and this may just be right up my alley. 😉

Curves Fitness Center is of course just for women. Most facilities don’t allow men in at all, as it’s marketed specifically to women – and those who want to work out in a women-only facility.

Sorry guys! But there are *some* Curves that allow men, so if you’re interested just check with your local Curves.

Would you consider joining me? The coupon is good for a free week, so it’s a great opportunity to try it out and see if you like it! It would be really cool if a group of us tried it out together. 😀

If you’re going to join us, comment below and let us know!

Or if you’ve been to a Curves Fitness Center before, I would love to hear your experience. I know they’re all different, or they used to be – are they still independent franchises??

Hum…when I click the link it says the offer is no longer available. I’ll check back again though, just in case it was a glitch. 🙂

Strange. I just checked them all, and they’re working on my end. I signed up just a few hours ago. Can’t wait to try it out! Is there a Curves near you??

  2. Now you’re talking my language! 🙂 I’m in.

Your LCT email came at just the right time, as I have been thinking for some time now (off and on for a few years, in fact) about at least checking them out.

Our Curves has Zimba classes (just two days a week), and they are currently running an offer that if you “bring in a bag of groceries you can join for free”! Now, they don’t say how big the bag of groceries ought to be.or other costs. But it’s enough to get me in the front door.

I’ll also take the coupon in case the groceries won’t work for a whole week!

So, Lynn, since you (and perhaps others) are going tomorrow, I’ve decided I’m going to go check it out tomorrow, too. And then since I really, really want to try Zimba, I’ll have to go Tuesday and/or Thursday. Except I don’t especially like the times Zimba is scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday.

I am anxious to see if my local Curves Fitness Center offers Zumba classes too. I might try it at least once, lol. I really do prefer to do the Zumba at home. It’s SO much fun, but I’m not at all coordinated enough (or graceful enough? lol) to do it in publich. haha

I’m so glad you’re joining us in checking it out! 😀 I look forward to hearing what you think of it. I go at 4:00 today, so I’ll be sure to give you guys an update.

I have heard great things about Curves but I have a home gym so I’m all set, thankfully. I can’t wait to hear all about your experience. I went to a Zumba class a long time ago and hated it BUT I love the Zumba DVD set. It was really weird..the gal had said she was teaching it for years but funny thing is, none of the moves were similar to the Zumba set lol

    Have fun working out!

Your home gym is awesome, Angie! 😀 I know it took forever to set up the way you wanted it, but I bet it was SO worth it! I’m with you on the classes – not sure if it’s something I’ll like, as I love doing my Zumba at home – but I’m definitely game for at least trying it once. 😀 *cheers*
