Feeling terrible about myself…This is Day 1 over again for me to quit drinking. I’ve gained a few lbs and it feels miserable. Please wish me luck that I can once and for all get my drinking under control so I can control the diet as well…and find happiness…
Happy New Year…2017…this has to be my year!
Deb says
Have you tried A.A. worked for me…
Lynn Terry says
You got this, Amy. π I used to be a full blown alcoholic (half my life ago). I think we discussed that while back? It’s tough.
I had some bad habits / lifestyle issues earlier on in my low carb journey, and I finally realized the “feeling terrible about myself” … was actually one of them. It was like self sabotage or punishment. That was one of the things I resolved to QUIT (feeing discouraged, disappointed, self hate, etc) so I had to start at the root, the source.
Lynn Terry says
(Because feeling that way, in my opinion and experience, is WORSE than whatever it is I consumed/did to make myself feel that way. No certain food (2 pints of ice cream! lol) was as bad for me as THAT feeling…)

This will be my first time trying the low carb diet. I set up my finess pal to do the net carb calculation, purchased a blaze fitbit and placed an order for some of the low carb foods from the company that you get you low carb pancake mix.. So please help me and wish me luck on this journey!
Happy New Year
Lynn Terry says
Good luck, Chris π You can do this!
It’s the BEST thing I’ve ever done for myself, and you’ll find that to be true too. It feels amazing!! π *cheers*

Hi Lynn,
SO glad to be getting emails and posts from you again. You are so inspirational!
My goal for 2017 is to finally get to my goal weight. I’m sure I’m up at least 5 lbs over the holiday…will weigh in on Sunday morning…gulp. I’m thinking I have about 20 lbs to get to goal. Next, I have joined a walking challenge. My goal is to walk 1,000 miles in 2017. This starts Sunday as well. I’ll keep up with my 3-4 day a week boot camp and add in the walking. Weather may be an issue since I live in Pennsylvania, but I will brave the elements most of the time. I do have a treadmill for those blustery or icy days.
I know reading your posts and following along will help keep me on track! Thank you so much!
Lynn Terry says
Thank you, Lori π I love your goals for 2017! The walking challenge sounds like a lot of FUN! I would love to do something like that myself… maybe I’ll set a goal to hike EVERY trail in the state of TN this year. π π

Hi Lynn, we’ll I forgot today we weigh in so I will go with my Tuesday morning weight of 199, I gained 1.4 during the holiday. However I have lost a total of 17 lbs during the 60 day Challenge which is a great accomplishment for me. I
always gain during game holidays. My goal for the next 90 days is to lose 20 to 30 more lbs. And finally decided the exercise I love. Thanks for your guidance and all you do
